This was so predictable.
The US has not manged to win a war since WWII (simply because our leaders never intend to win).
Being evacuated to where?
It’s almost funny. Biden comes out and says that this is nothing like Vietnam. We won’t see helicopters taking people out of Saigon all over again. And now, maybe 24 hours later, that is exactly what we see.
So much for empire-building in this fetid, corrupt nation of ours.
Tomorrow’s headline: It is a “mostly triumphant” evacuation.
We should have left in 2015 at the conclusion of OEF. OBL was dead so our reason for being there was accomplished.

Absolutely true.
The left in this country is the taliban - a minority willing to fight like hell using whatever means at their disposals for what they believe and promoting their interests.
We on the right, though a majority, are like the regulars of the afghan army, totally unmotivated to fight for our values.
And just as the taliban has demolished the regular army, so has the left eviscerated us on the right in our culture war, and for the same reason - one side has the will and conviction to fight, the other doesn’t.
