I watched an interview with her where she spoke about what happened. She says she was targeted. It was not spontaneous. Its hard to listen to what happened. She has irreparable internal damage.
Very brave to go back to any muslim majority country after what she went through.

Lara Logan is that woman and yes she is a warrior and one of the very few true journalists today. (Most of whom appear to me to be women.)
This is an excellent interview w/her; although, Tucker’s high-pitched, inapropriate laughter is somewhat offputting at times.
Hopefully, most here on FR will take the time to get past the fact that, yes, she is a beautiful, sensual lady; but, more importantly, she has a helluva brain and a world of experience w/”in the field” journalism.” At any rate, I highly recommend giving this interview a look and listen!

Agreed- She’s got more guts than most men- Certainly way more guts than the clown Crying Adam Kinzinger, up on the stage in front of the whole world, weeping over peaceful protestors touring the capitol building after being ushered in by security

Very good interview. It brought back my memories and anger as to why we we’re trusting Pakistan to control anything at all. More shocking to know that it never really stopped, even after finding Bin Laden there.
That said, Lara makes two statements that seem to contradict each other. She says the best thing we could have done after 9/11 was decimate the Taliban/ Alqueda and leave them alone to form a new government mostly on their own, but also calls leaving a betrayal. I suppose you can have it both ways in this instance.
She also pointed out that Trump (though she never says his name) should never have negotiated any part of our troop withdrawal with the the Taliban- none of their concern, we don’t need their permission. However, I think Trump knew the Afghan Army would fold up like a paper bag. The negotiation was only to allow time for an orderly withdrawal, and only the Taliban could impact that plan . It was a warning, not a negotiation.
She hammers Biden though, and calls him “expendable” in the end.

I recall how quickly the Texas state government folded over "gay" marriage as soon as their corporate paymasters called in their chits, so I'm not holding my breath.
The alternative to organized state action is a low level insurgency and campaign of assassinations, which strikes me as a lot uglier and less likely to succeed. We'll have to see what happens.
In this age of mass surveillance, fighting the Empire is a losing game....
But, their strength is their weakness. They are sociopaths who will fight each other tooth and nail.
