I don’t consider it a divergence at all. If the money being invested is from the federal government, the federal government is basically socializing private assets for its use.
It’s fascism.
I’m fearful, very fearful, but I don’t know where else to put my (retirement) funds!
The article title makes me want to read it, but I decide a while ago not to read anything written by the omnipresent Tyler Durden.
Invest it in your children. No better investment than that.
We’re selling our winter home in Arizona this fall. It’s more than doubled in value over the seven years we’ve owned it. Then we’ll wait for everything to come crashing down and we’ll get another winter home in Tennessee, where my wife now has family.

Half in the backyard and the other half in tangible things like canned goods and ammo.
I invested a good chunk of mine a company owned by a friend who I trust implicitly. Not only am I earning fair interest, but I'll be getting overflow work from him as well. Income from that overflow work could dwarf the investment.
I'm also giving some consideration to starting a small engine repair shop for my retirement.
Investors are nervous as cats but the greed keeps them fully invested, plus they think they’ll be quick enough/smart enough to grab a chair when the music stops.
I own AMD stock and have been very happy. I bought in Sept 2018 and the stock keeps going up and up. I can retire now and expect the stock to go up 50% in the coming year or even better.

The next stock I buy will be ‘starlink’ when it is available.
Elon Mush owns it. Tesla was around $1,300+ at the beginning of Aug 2020 and 3 weeks later split 5-1 at approx $2,100
Then doubled in price by Jan 2021.... I did not buy : (
Starlink will do just as well or better. It will be the biggest ISP, movie streaming service and cell provider once they get all the satellites needed.
If Trump were in office the economy would be doing so much better.
Elon Musk.... : )
if we're going to have a crash, should I put everything in fidelity in cash reserves or their stable fund?.....
anybody?
Institutional investors see that the large American and multinational corporations are using crony capitalism (via Wokeism and support of the Deep State) to pull up the ladders now that they are on top.On top of that, they see that many of those same corporations have sold out to China and the CCP to increase their access to the massive (1.4 billion people) China market.
I was listening to Dave Mortach on the local radio this past week while driving to work. He was talking about the markets and how everything/everyone he watches for trends is warning regarding this massive bubble we are in.
He was taking calls from listeners who are essentially stuck in their 401k and had to explain 3 times that they couldn’t take their money out without incurring tax and penalty if under 59.5yrs old. His advice was to look into your 401k investment options and move your money to the ‘safest’ available option within your fund. And then basically hope for the best to weather this incoming storm.
Mortach was saying that the 4 indicators and advisors he watches/reads are all indicating a crash worse than 2008 and one saying it will be worse than 1929. People are likely to lose 50% value (again) in their 401k.
I’m planning to buy Starlink as well when it ipos. Unfortunately still waiting for service here in Alabama...signed up and paid deposit when it was announced.
Which means when they are all set they will make it happen
