Your posting contains a great deal of good - but I am not so sure about your assertion that the "Left" is not self-aware.
To be truly devious requires a certain degree of empathy (not empathy motivated by true compassion, but rather by a desire to exploit the other's weaknesses). To "con" one's neighbor, one must be able to "squeeze into" one's neighbor's skin. Is that possible without also being self-aware? Perhaps.
But maybe that is all beside the point.

It’s always struck me as weird—and I fully include myself in this—that as a Christian conservative, I understand and agree with the concept that mankind is sinful and broken after the Fall. “Total depravity,” they call it, the concept that man cannot reunite with God without a Savior and through the power of the Spirit. (Roughly. I’m not a theologian.) And yet, we’re always so surprised when people actually *do* depraved things. It’s like we accept the depravity of man in the abstract and the plural, but when we see concrete and singular examples of it, our brains tilt. So we spend a lot of time trying to figure out why someone seems to do broken and insane things—like most leftism—instead of combating it.

I do what I CAN do. I attend school board meetings, Town Council meetings and speak up. I vote Conservatively, I am registered as an Independent and donate NOTHING to the RNC.
Tell me what YOU do and what you think the rest of us should do that you yourself are willing to get involved in. We all know what the problem is so the gloom and doomers who come here serve no purpose other than to depress others and cause them to lose hope. This is exactly what they intend and there is no place for them here.

I vote and I go to local school board and Town Council meetings and speak up. I do all I can but if you believe I can do more I will listen. I am ex military and am 79 yrs old so walking around with a club and bashing heads is not something I can any longer do.

But even walking is hard for me these days, let alone to swing a club.
As for the FOS thingy; that has been a few times in my past.
