...but notes that he just got out of surgery and “was on pain meds,” and the “traumatic experience I had just gone through.” Grosskreutz says that the omission was not “purposeful.”

Guy is FBI material right there.
Yeah, but will the Jury even care?
Given the strength of the defense case here, I sincerely hope the Judge considers dismissing the charges and/or setting the Jury verdict aside as being against the weight of the evidence (if that is possible in a criminal case).
If the Prosecution wasn’t political, said prosecutor would drop it.
The defense isn’t great so it’s a good thing the prosecution really sucks.
Sorry i looked at the photo.
That isnt how almost anyone takes notes.
I believe you are incorrect and the original interpretation is 100% on point.
That was was awesome.
Hope Rittenhouse sues the pants off of Facebook, CNN, etc.
That’s a face palm!
Pretty sure he wasn’t allowed to have a gun-—was trying to NOT tell cops that he DID have one.
This was a major admission that was TOTALLY LEFT OUT of the trial report (which included Grosskreutz's testimony) on the local FOX7-Austin's 5:30PM broadcast. FOX7-Austin should not be considered a real news station, but rather FOX7-Austin is nothing but a leftwing propaganda mill.
Quote: “I do not interpret the picture of the prosecutor as you do. It does not come across as a face palm, but a natural pose for someone that is taking notes.”
He is in view of the Jury here. He has to be careful of any misperception of his reaction and this was a terrible one. Notes or not, during a time when his witness was less than supporting of his case, if not outright contradicting it, is not a good time to be seen as squirming.
And to answer everyone’s question, no, this ADA is not incompetent. Like Mike Nifong, this guy is being political. And I betcha he knows that the trial doesn’t matter as the jury pool was biased and Rittenhouse is going down.
>>>That’s a face palm!<<<
Then somebody better call Guiness Book of World Records for the longest ever held.
Wellll..... if it ain’t ol Lefty. How’s that elbow doin there, Lefty. Should have just turned around and walked away but noooo. You had to “go for it” and kablam, vaporized elbow. Poor ol Lefty.
Unless the judge makes a directed judgment. Do you notice that Schroeder is far too jovial for a judge hearing a capital murder case? I believe he knows how this trial is going to end.
Pretty sure the wrong person is on trial
Every news story that I have seen today on Yahoo News has omitted those remarks.
Either that or he is honest and is just presenting the actual facts as they are. Maybe he is an honest man forced into prosecuting this guy who was obviously practicing self defense, but needs to show it cause the case is high profile.
He is not that bright and to be a good liar you need to be intelligent.
You keep the lie simple and as close to the truth as possible. You are telling the truth just with one little addition or subtraction. Or even just a subtle twist.
The less you have to keep straight the better.
The stupid and arrogant person makes their lie elaborate, it is so heavy and unwieldy that after a bit you blurt out the truth because you have mentally worn yourself out.
a claim that led immediately to threats of a defamation lawsuit from Rittenhouse’s attorney. .............. Do it! Get after the media too, make them pay like the Catholic kid in DC did. Go after all the deep pockets available.
Facebook is now Meta. Maybe they have re-incorporated anticipating the blowback.
On pain meds and carrying a Glock during a riot?!?
I would have been thrown under the jail for doing this. He admits it on the stand.

I suppose, but in my opinion no prosecutor is honest who knows the defendant is innocent but still places his life in the hands of a jury. Knowing full well that the Jury still might convict an innocent person. No sir, drop the case, it is not ethical to pursue it at this point.
