First off, I’m not sure that lying to the FBI is necessarily illegal, except in certain sworn situations. Second, lying to Christopher Steele? Who the hell is he to be in jeopardy over?

In reality, any of the parties associated with this hoax — including Schiff — should have much more to worry about than lying to anyone. Especially members of the FBI who helped perpetrate this treasonous monstrosity.

Every single one of these people, Schiff included, dozens and dozens of them, were asked by the committee while under oath if they had any proof whatsoever that Donald Trump or any of his associates had broken any law or engaged in illegality, they all said “No.”

Then, as soon as they left the closed hearings, they (And most egregiously Schiff) would get in front of a camera and tell the world that what they knew as fact was far worse than they were allowed to say.

The whole Trump-Russian conspiracy hoax was premised on two things: Trump staging the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013, and his exploration of building a hotel there, which never happened. Trump likely understood that, as a foreigner in a corrupt oligarchic state, doing business in Russia wasn't a smart move. From these two small grains of truth, an entire propaganda campaign was built that Trump was controlled by Putin and promoted by a corrupt corporate media.
