Let’s make a very important distinction....
It’s obvious that with some exceptions, the ones ‘back then’ and the ones that get called liberals today are totally different animals.... virtually no similarity between them. How people/things/events etc. are identified is critical... a recent case in point being that the prosecutors were told they can’t call those that were shot in this case, ‘victims’.
I am fine with calling the liberals ‘back then’ liberals and that term today can apply to those of the same views....’old school liberals’ is the term that Bill Maher uses for example. However, let’s not go along with calling these BATSHAT CRAZY ones liberals... they are not.
They are out and out Marxist thugs and they need to be consistently called that.

Classical Liberalism is a honorable and respected political and social philosophy.
