Life begins at conception. Abortion is the taking of a life before birth. The taking of an innocent life is murder. The solution to an unwanted pregnancy should not be the murder of a completely defenseless, completely innocent baby.

Since Congress has no express constitutional abortion protection amendment to justify 14th Amendment-based laws to protect abortion, laws providing abortion funding unconstitutional imo, neither has the Supreme Court any constitutionally enumerated abortion protections to throw at the states.
With all due respect to family and supporters of the late Terri Schiavo for example, note the misguided Supreme Court's double standards with respecting 10th Amendment-protected state power to make euthanasia laws on one hand, while blatantly ignoring state power to prohibit abortion on the other hand.
It's no surprise that lawless Democrats fight tooth and nail to try to maintain a pro-abortion Supreme Court justice majority in order to stay in power since there is no express abortion protection like 2nd Amendment-protected gun rights for example.
In fact, Sotomayor also blatantly ignores that the pre-FDR era Supreme Court had condemned interpolations of Constitution which is arguably what the Roe v. Wade justices did when they wrongly legislated from the bench the so-called "right" to abortion.
