I wrote to Cornyn and told him that since he votes Democrat whenever the chips are down, next time his seat is up for election, I will vote for the Democrat. The results will be the same and a newbie Dem Senator would be easier to replace.
I also wrote to Senator Cruz and asked him to help the Party find and elect a real conservative who cares more about the country than appeasing Democrats to replace him. I also said I would support and help fund a recall effort.
Everyone who can, please let your displeasure with these turncoats be felt.
Not to defend them too much, but the Republicans GET KILLED with the public every time they’re held responsible for a shutdown (which is almost always)...and due to that, they eventually cave anyway.
It’s not these 19 trees that are the problem. It’s the forest of swamp institutional corruption. GOP leadership, RNC, donors, lobbyists, etc. All of it. Vote accordingly in 2022.

Exactly right. There is too much focus on the GOPe as the supposed cause of the party’s ineffectiveness and backstabbing. The harder reality is that the party as a whole enables this kind of nonsense.
It IS an institutional failure. The GOP is completely lacking in any kind of coherent purpose or direction. The GOP is a mess. We can do better.

The GOP get killed on shut downs because they don’t fight. You can’t win battles you don’t fight.
Here the GOP could have easily said “No, we will not agree to the Dems Marxist agenda AND shut down the government.” If now is not the time to fight with the Marxist Green New Deal on deck then when? Obviously, never.
So many have planned this and are part of the process. Three letter agencies, the federal reserve, local state and federal government and NGO agencies and just about everyone with a job who takes the jab has surrendered to the system.
The great reset of humanity begins with the government shutdown. Its the first domino in a chain event that results in universal slavery to a quantum financial system run by Quantum computers and who knows what other entities.
The longer its postponed the better.
The forum boards squawk that everyone is hoarding cash for this great reset. The stock market may tumble but since the federal reserve runs the stock market through its off book trading programs the money machine will keep turning over profits to the overlords while the chattel cattle stand around wondering what happened and why they are dying from unknown causes.
Just business as usual on terra.

Kennedy speaks out of both sides of his mouth. Wishy-washy on a lot of things. Yeah, he sounds good sometimes, but not consistent and never has been. To me that means he lacks principles. Principles provide consistency in votes.
