I liked monty python, the Avengers, The Prisoner and stuff like that. But a lot of it is low production quality for its day

Season 9 was the last good season, although I like the Timeless Child idea, because it fits perfectly with The Brain of Marabous, and it brings mystery back to the Doctor. This 6 part season had 2 or 2 good episodes, buy was a mess overall. Looking forward to Russel T coming back.

Excellent review/summary of the Dr Who monumental decline in quality...
I have been a fan since the first Doctor...
Have my favorite Doctors...
However, struggled to continue watching when Peter became the Doctor... What I disliked about him (he is a fine actor) was the absence of a high-quality female side-kick... Also, the story lines/plots were, in part, marginal...
Have not watched a single episode since...
It will take RTD and another Rose, Amy, Martha, Clara, Sarah Jane, or River to get me back as a fan...
In the meantime I can watch my old tapes (early) or re-runs of the first 9 TV years...

I hated Broadchurch. Jodie Whitaker is an abysmal actress.

People forget that it was originally a show for kids. My Dad used to put it on for us. Tom Baker was my first Doctor. If they can’t find a way to recapture that wonder, it will be over.
Hubby and I have been watching a lot of older shows. Shows I am aware of but didn’t watch much growing up. Columbo and other stuff. Have always loved sci-fi. Today’s shows are too woke and/or vulgar.
