The time for exterminating political judges is long past
your taxes should never be something that congress gets, in any situation. The IRS exists for this reason- if you are paying your taxes correctly then you’re good. If you’re not paying your taxes correctly then they charge you with a crime. This includes money laundering and other illegal activity, not just paying your legal percentage on your income.
Using the IRS as a weapon against political enemies. Soon to be on everyone's door step. Another reason to abolish the IRS.
The issue isn’t whether the return claims are legitimate. It is whether they can find and leak sections that are sufficiently confusing that they can misrepresent them.

Amazing that not one Freeper mentioned the special circumstances necessary for Congress to observe a citizen’s tax return STATED IN THE LAW.
IIRC, sealed room; no public; no photos or copies. Plan for a violation of the law. When a violation occurs, such as someone whipping out a cell-phone to take a picture, the one copy is retrieved and the interview is over until the person violating the law is arrested and charged. The person charged should face this same judge.

The IRS has his tax records, and those are highly protected by law. The IRS is extremely limited in who they can share tax info with without your explicit permission.

I threw that out as a basic truism.
I also wrote that "A McConnell judge is a 50-50 tossup", and McFadden is a McConnell judge, appointed by Trump. Trump didn't win the toss.
Understood and as it should be.
But if one branch of government cannot obtain those records from another branch of government, then a judge has no business ordering a citizen to (re)supply the government with that information.
Basically, the judge is ordering a citizen to do what the government cannot even order itself to do.
That is my point.
