“Why is there this urge to have Senator Manchin become a Republican all of the sudden? He has proven himself to be a relatively sane voice on the Democrat side, but he is not a conservative by any means.”

I agree 100%.
Manchin is actually of more use to conservatives as a sea anchor keeping the dems from going full Bolshevik.
If he were to switch parties he would be a McConnell/Romney Republican, not a conservative.

Yep, they double down. I believe Biden’s speech will announce restrictions on interstate travel for purebloods. “Your vaccine passport please.”

he is probably positioning himself as the one Democrat who could be president in ‘24

Manchin would be out of a presidential primary of the Democrat Party faster than Harris was sent back to California the last time. He would have zero support from the radical left wingers who have taken over his party. The Scoop Jackson’s of the Democrat party are footnotes of history.
His biggest contribution to America would be to leave the Democrat Party and either join the Republicans or more likely become an Independent But caucus with the Republicans to take the Majority position away from Schumer.
I’m not real sure Manchin could get re-elected as a Dem in a state that was overwhelmingly a Trump state if he stays in this new socialist party unless the Republicans don’t have a viable candidate. Certainly the R’s won’t vote for him; and now the D’s will be opposed to him for opposing Biden/Schumer/Pelosi —all he’ll have is name recognition (and that counts for a lot I guess). But then 2024 is a log way away in politics.

Can’t sell Schumer short. He’s done plenty of damage on behalf of his commie overlords.

I>Schumer possesses the agonizingly dangerous trait combination that plagues so many American politicians; he's arrogant and incompetent. And it's been on full display this past year.

It's been on display his entire career. He's always been a putzhead thanks to RINO D'Amato's attacks on him. He's hung around long enough to rise up the ranks. I've seen him speak in person a few times, he's a bozo. That's who is leading the Senate.

McConnus has more corrupt ties with China than Chuck the Scmuck does.

Biden doesn’t know where he is, he’s a dementia puppet, who will simply do what he’s told by the idiots around him....

This is an illegitimate administration...

PERIOD

We can thank McCain for passing on ... Though his family screwed us (and Arizona) with their hatred and envy of Trump. Probably the hatred came from the envy.

"It's not the president, it's the staff...

Because the staff are running around like a bunch of un-supervised children. Biden is not in charge, never has been, not even a little. He is a puppet reciting lines fed to him by unseen powers. Those powers have their agenda and they are running it.

Anything and everything else? Well, that is up to anyone who cares enough to push. I'll bet there are lots of budding tyrants in the administration. All building their petty little empires. They've got more autonomy than they ever imagined and they like it. Of course they're going to become arrogant towards anyone who dares throw off their self-imagined emperor's new groove.

If he changed parties it would take away the committee power the RATS have. No more subpoenas for political purposes. That would change everything.

I can see him becoming an Independent, but I doubt that he would turn Republican. Look at Bernie (yuk - must we?), who is not supposed to be a Democrat, he’s an Independent. Right - independent communist.

Hadn’t thought of that angle. But, I still say that he needs to follow his own heart when it comes right down to it. The last thing we need is more RINOs gumming up the works.

Schumer was originally elected to public office to run blacks out of a Jewish neighborhood. He’s the definition of NY corruption.

Thus far, as I write today, McConnell has done a completely masterful job of keeping the Rinos fully on board supporting the essential elements of destroying Schumer and Biden. Some of what he has done angers “true conservatives” and “pure Trumpers”, but thus far, he has kept his 50% united - remarkably. Please acknowledge that he has done a great job on the most important agenda items.
