The letter writer is ignorant of the fact that man’s co2 production amounts to just 0.00136% of the atmosphere- nowhere near enough to blanket the globe in a thick enough blanket to prevent heat from escaping- not even close

We coild increase our total world’s co2 production more than 100 fold and still have zero impact on climate

The writer is a low info person who is also, unaware that rising temperatures cause rising co2 levels, 100’s,of years later... rising co2 does NOT cause temperatures to rise

The writer also does not know, that co2 levels have been many times higher in the past and life flourished just fine. It was over 800 ppm in the past (someday over 1000)- life did not erupt into flames, and we had a greater biodiversity back, then than now apparently if you look up the ‘astonishing rate of decline in species today”

If heat is so,dangerous, then how are animals and people, able to survive in tropicsl, tropical conditions where the heat is many times hotter than othe places? The world is going nuts over a 1/2 increase on average in many places, as though going from a typical 80 degree day to 80 1/2 degrees is going to cause Mas s deaths.

Our eastern seaboard was covered in miles thick ice- it all melted due TO, EGADS! HANG ONTO,YOUR HATS. CLIMATE CHANGE! ANIMAL species, plant species, humankind did fine, handle it,like the chsmpions they are

“I believe in science” is leftist for “I have discarded reason and worship the pronouncements of communist intellectuals.”

Science itself is not a faith, but a process and method for questioning such assertions against objective fact.

[[ Computer models aren’t science either, until they start correctly predicting observations]]

Theynactually, changed the numbers from satellite reag because the readings showed there was no temperature increase for almost,20 years. True story.

They were dismayed that the numbers didn’t show warmign for 20 years, so they claimed that one of the satellites was ‘out of,positions or ‘not positioned correctly or some such nonsense, so they “recalculated” and put in numbers that they thought “should have been observed if ther satellite was positioned correctly”, and lo,and behold, alakazam, bingo bingo bongo, there’s your 20,year warming increase

Typical mindset in totalitarian states. Someone in power sets mindless directives, and the lowly bootlickers explain how wonderful craven cowardice is and how brilliant their benevolent masters are.

And just think Chicago teachers are closing the schools down again. Imagine that, all of the school buses Not producing pollution. And saving money on fuel as well.

Sounds like a win - win situation.

[[Sea level is projected to be 3 feet higher in 80 years putting many major cities underwater. ]]

There is a side by side comparison of a spit of land (actuslly, actually, are numerous side by side comparisons) that show land many decades ago, and today, and they show no discernible rise in sea levels

They just keep lying and lying, and when one of their lies hets exposed, they brush it off and move right on to another bald-faced lie. (Which is understandable for many of them, who’s father is the father of lies- some however are just plain duped. Sadly)

You’ll ride your electric bicycle and like it.

(well not so much when the wind chill is -40)

“The hell with the working man.”

That’s basically what I say when trolling the Left. I note that high gas prices are necessary to stop the people from driving who do not need to drive.

Obviously the word “need” is subject, but talking as a liberal means that I, alone, can determine who ‘needs’ to drive and who doesn’t.

He doesn't believe in science, he's just plain stupid.

He actually believes what the propogandists tell him is science. Yes, he is stupid.

He is allowed to have his own opinion; I am allowed to have mine.

1. I love my grandkids.

2. I believe in science, but not people so much.

3. Climatologists tell us that human–created emissions will make our grandkids’ lives uncomfortable, and eventually horrible, but they are wrong, my grandkids will be fine.

4. Twenty percent of our emissions come from burning gasoline, OK,so?.

5. High gas prices will reduce consumption and therefore reduce emissions, OK, so?. (Unfortunately, low-income people will suffer the most—as usual, they will be fine.)

6. Therefore, I am willing to pay a little more today in the hope that my grandkids will have a better life so that I do not have to walk 20 miles to the store.

The price of everything is tied to the price of gas. That’s just reality in a continental sized country like the United States. If he is so convinced as to the rightness of his position, then by all means, let’s put it to a vote. Let’s ask the voters if they are willing to make a grand sacrifice to Earth Mother Gaia in the form of $1 a gallon in taxes. How about $2 a gallon? How about $10 a gallon. What does anybody suppose the voters will choose?

There’s a reason why Leftists are always trying to find underhanded ways of driving up the price of gas and are not willing to just put it to the voters. They know what the answer would be.

Next will be 55 mph national speed limit. Everyone knows slower speeds reduce consumption.

“Next will be 55 mph national speed limit. Everyone knows slower speeds reduce consumption.”

Yeah, that worked out great in the 70s.

“If they really want to target driving, they should triple gas taxes and leave oil itself alone.”

A good thought. Doesn’t Europe make fuel expensive by high taxation of it?

But I’m not in favor of doing that here.
