I agree, if you watch the video I don’t know how she did not see the guy approaching, not the moment when he swung the bat but several steps before that, it’s called situational awareness.
I’m not perfect but I like to be aware of who is around me and approaching at all times, regardless of the situation, at night in a big city especially.
I don’t know if the outcome would have been any different but at least give yourself a chance.
She is probably a woke liberal and did not want to profile a black man walking on the same street which is probably why she ignored him, and it cost her.
At the very least have some pepper spray in your pocket, put you hand in your pocket and get ready, if the guy makes an aggressive move, deploy the pepper spray and give him a shot in the face and then react, either get away or kick him in the balls or worse.
