I'll bet 50% of the older adults in Ukraine, particularly in the Donbass area have/had Russian parents and/or grandparents, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine comes around and asks to join Russia.

The crisis in Ukraine is not about Ukraine, it’s about Germany

Mike Whitney

“The primordial interest of the United States, over which for centuries we have fought wars- the First, the Second and Cold Wars- has been the relationship between Germany and Russia, because united there, they’re the only force that could threaten us. And to make sure that that doesn’t happen.” George Friedman, STRATFOR CEO at The Chicago Council on Foreign Affairs

NordStream2Map_MW_600x401.jpg

The Ukrainian crisis has nothing to do with Ukraine. It’s about Germany and, in particular, a pipeline that connects Germany to Russia called Nord Stream 2. Washington sees the pipeline as a threat to its primacy in Europe and has tried to sabotage the project at every turn. Even so, Nord Stream has pushed ahead and is now fully-operational and ready-to-go. Once German regulators provide the final certification, the gas deliveries will begin. German homeowners and businesses will have a reliable source of clean and inexpensive energy while Russia will see a significant boost to their gas revenues. It’s a win-win situation for both parties.

The US Foreign Policy establishment is not happy about these developments. They don’t want Germany to become more dependent on Russian gas because commerce builds trust and trust leads to the expansion of trade. As relations grow warmer, more trade barriers are lifted, regulations are eased, travel and tourism increase, and a new security architecture evolves. In a world where Germany and Russia are friends and trading partners, there is no need for US military bases, no need for expensive US-made weapons and missile systems, and no need for NATO.

There’s also no need to transact energy deals in US Dollars or to stockpile US Treasuries to balance accounts. Transactions between business partners can be conducted in their own currencies which is bound to precipitate a sharp decline in the value of the dollar and a dramatic shift in economic power. This is why the Biden administration opposes Nord Stream. It’s not just a pipeline, it’s a window into the future; a future in which Europe and Asia are drawn closer together into a massive free trade zone that increases their mutual power and prosperity while leaving the US on the outside looking in.

Warmer relations between Germany and Russia signal an end to the “unipolar” world order the US has overseen for the last 75 years. A German-Russo alliance threatens to hasten the decline of the Superpower that is presently inching closer to the abyss. This is why Washington is determined to do everything it can to sabotage Nord Stream and keep Germany within its orbit. It’s a matter of survival.

That’s where Ukraine comes into the picture. Ukraine is Washington’s ‘weapon of choice’ for torpedoing Nord Stream and putting a wedge between Germany and Russia. The strategy is taken from page one of the US Foreign Policy Handbook under the rubric: Divide and Rule. Washington needs to create the perception that Russia poses a security threat to Europe. That’s the goal.

They need to show that Putin is a bloodthirsty aggressor with a hair-trigger temper who cannot be trusted. To that end, the media has been given the assignment of reiterating over and over again, “Russia is planning to invade Ukraine.” What’s left unsaid is that Russia has not invaded any country since the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and that the US has invaded or toppled regimes in more than 50 countries in the same period of time, and that the US maintains over 800 military bases in countries around the world. None of this is reported by the media, instead the focus is on “evil Putin” who has amassed an estimated 100,000 troops along the Ukrainian border threatening to plunge all of Europe into another bloody war.

So Biden does not commerce between Germany and Russia to expand? Then why did Biden cut US energy production to starve Germany of US natural gas exports and push Germany into Russia’s arms?

Biden is illogical and mentally unstable. Putin, or anyone else, can predict Biden’s next move. The pentagon report proves Biden is just barely functional.

Ukraine has no air-power or cruise missiles. Russian initial shock and awe campaign would decimate any Ukrainian troops on the ground.

"Right now on display is a US military run by perverts and buffoons. We have fighter jets crashing all over the place. Warships and subs running into things."

A military whose mission is--NOT NATIONAL DEFENSE--but the brainless bilge of "diversity and inclusiveness."

Does anyone think Putin (or anybody else) is afraid of Biden and his Tranny Army? ANSWER: NO!

It is clear that Biden is trying to force a Gulf of Tonkin-style incident in Donbas. What Putin plans or not is secondary, because you can expect the media to spin it the way Biden wants.

True, Biden has an economy that is coming apart at the seams, making Jimmy Carter look an Economic Genius, then you have the debacle in Afghanistan and the Administration and Media are desperate to prop him up, what better way to do that than forcing Putin to back down over Ukraine.

How is it that most of the comments on this thread have missed that this is a fabricated false flag conflict?

Have the few posters here completely missed the comments of Ukraine President Zelensky?

If you have missed true signal information, you are not to blame because the news block is massive, not in their numbers, but in taking the slots of outlets vying for your clicks.

And if you are usually not interested in Ukraine happenings, we’ll that’s understandable but we’re all drawn to this, why?

Because news headline makers have their marching orders to get our attention. About what?

About imminent “war” or Biden-WEF distracting from ongoing election rig investigations and trucker revolts?

You should see this is a false flag in the making to distract us, but you don’t see it because most of the truth is blocked.

Here’s a dribble of truth that is not easy to find:

“President Zelensky himself has chastised Western press for their hyperbolic coverage of the situation. “The image that mass media creates is that we have troops on the roads, we have mobilization, people are leaving for places. That’s not the case. We don’t need this panic,” he said. Studying the opinion pages of America’s three most prestigious outlets suggests that Zelensky is right: nobody wants war, except for hawkish elements in the national security state and among the press that increasingly does its bidding.”

https://www.mintpressnews.com/279612-2/279612

The Scottish writer Alan MacLeod summarizes:

“The drive to war is being led by corporate media, with 90% of op-eds in the Washington Post, NY Times and Wall Street Journal taking a “get tough on Russia” stance, as my new study showed. “

MacLeod who holds a PhD in Journalism is a rare bird independent freelancer who describes his motivation as:

“I mostly tweet about US and Latin American politics but complaining about corporate media is my passion.”

In other words, he’s onto the gang of newsies called “corporate media” aka Mockingbird Media who are all given a party line narrative in the hours before we wake up in the morning that they jump on if they want to keep their jobs.

Be smart, be truly informed.

When reading headlines in the morning, your first action should be to look at the source. If it’s Mockingbird garbage, you should note what their party line propaganda agenda is so that you can be aware and be able to predict their brainwash agenda for the day.

If you have time, search for trustworthy news writers and mark them in your trusted sources folder.

It’s OK to look at Mockingbird Media but keep in mind what they’re trying to do to shape your thinking.

Knowing this will help you keep your independence which is the foundation for constructive discernment.

South Africa was similar. The more they were ‘punished’, the more self-sufficient they became, to the point of having developed oil-shale and coal gassification decades before the West.

We’re the ones that need to be careful. China can simply force a ‘firmware update’ into our tractors and we’ll have to empty our cities to harvest by hand.

Unless you are prepared to go Napoleon or Hitler on Russia, and suffer the consequences, you will not physically control or conquer Russia.

Stupid, arrogant, simplistic ideologues in Washington think they can control Russia with social media, MSM propaganda, creating chaos in small countries around the world, and financial bans on Russian oligarchs. These people are children

Putin doesn’t give a shit, because he doesn’t give a s**t about the Russian people.

He cares for them about as much as Biden cares about the American people.

The West has tried to use Ukraine as its puppet for well over a decade, enabling corrupt oligarchs under the guise of democratic reform with USAID and Soros funded “civic society” groups leading the way.

2010 was probably the first and only truly democratic election in Ukraine and it brought Pres. Yanukovich and the Party of Regions into power with the help of high powered American consultants like Paul Manifort.

By 2013 the West realized Yanukovich was too strong politically to beat at the ballot box and sought to remove Yanukovich by other means. They were eventually successful in overthrowing Yanukovich who was forced to flee for his life from the capital in early 2014.

After the coup, the West installed its own government which promptly outlawed the Party of Regions and declared war on the eastern part of the country where the PoR was strongest. This war was a disaster for Ukraine and eventually ended with the loss of Crimea to Russia and a large section of eastern Ukraine being run autonomously.

The 2015 Minsk agreement ending the military conflict in the east has never been carried out. Ukraine elected a new leader in 2019 while excluding roughly one third of the population from having a political voice. The new leader Zelenski failed to unite the country and with new elections coming up has reverted to form, arresting his political rival and drumming up a new war in the east.

After six years of trying to find a diplomatic solution to the problems in eastern Ukraine, Russia wasn’t having any of that nonsense. The response to Ukraine’s preparation for a new war in the east, has been Russian preparations to wage war on Ukraine itself. Its a boss move by Russia.

Now Diaper Joe and his poodle Boris are desperately trying to rally Europe to its side for a wider European war. Germany and France in particular must decide whether they will continue to kowtow to American geopolitical interests or strike an independent course. The fact the Europeans have NOT mobilized themselves is telling.

With Nord Stream-2 replacing Ukraine’s ability to interrupt natural gas shipments to Europe in less than two years, it looks increasingly like the “democratic experiment” in Ukraine is coming to a close.

Some commentators who IMHO have been correct so far, have predicted that Zelensky could be the target of a CIA-aided coup, by more aggressive Ukrainian nationalists who would like a permanent state of war with Russia.

LOL, Ukraine has had free and fair elections in 2014 and 2019.

Yanukovich was too strong politically to beat at the ballot box

Yanukovich was a lying POS who was elected on the promise of joining the EU who after the election announced suddenly that Ukraine would join the Russian commonwealth. I guess consultant Paul Manifort taught him to lie to get elected.
