The response to Ukraine’s preparation for a new war in the east, has been Russian preparations to wage war on Ukraine itself. Its a boss move by Russia

You're ridiculous. Ukraine is not a military threat to Russia. It has no air-force, no cruise missiles and is out numbered in tanks and artillery. Russia has 12,400 main battle tanks vs Ukraine's 2,600

Ukraine is not a military threat to Russia.

The puppet regime in Kiev is a threat to the autonomous eastern part of its own country...you know the Russian speaking part.

The Ukraine is weak, and it won't take Russia long to deliver the can of whoop-ass those Azov nazis richly deserve.

“Putin doesn’t give a shit, because he doesn’t give a s**t about the Russian people.”

Sorta like Xiden’s concern for Americans.

But Putin also has a boatload of nukes and knows how to use them. He also understands the consequences of nukes — but so did Sadam Hussian understand withdrawing and the scorched earth concept. Remember the oil fields all set afire?? I do.

The puppet regime in Kiev is a threat to the autonomous eastern part of its own country..

Its NOT an "autonomous eastern part", its a Russian controlled area. Ukraine is NOT a threat to the area, since Russians would defend it.

“Putin does far more to help the average Russian citizen”

Putin stifles any dissent against his tyranny. No protests, no political opponents or you get beaten and jailed. Political opponents are poisoned to death.

The average citizen has to shut up and take it. Putin is holding the Russian people back from developing a diversified open economy. If he attacks Ukraine, the Russian people suffer while Putin and his oligarchs roll in the money.

Putin doesn’t give a shit, because he doesn’t give a s**t about the Russian people.

“He cares for them about as much as Biden cares about the American people.”

Well that is a damn low bar...the worst President in the history of the US.

The American economy is huge and growing, Putin is holding Russia back with a paltry GDP equal to the size of paltry Spain. If you look at Per Capita GDP, Russian has about half the economic power of Spain for each person.

Russia is making more money than ever right now due to increased prices both in oil and nattie gas. Why should he care about sanctions?

why is the eastern and Russian region of Ukraine Ukraine and not Russia?

In the early 1900s, my great-grandparents emigrated from Russia. ALL of their papers say so, as do their applications for U.S. citizenship. They had to foreswear all allegiance to the Czar of Russia.

They were from Kiev.

Now it's spelled Kyiv, and it's in Ukraine.

“where we overthrew a legitimately elected government solely because they were pro-Russian?”

You absorb Russian propaganda well. Here are the facts.

The Russian puppet betrayed the Parliament and cut off plans to have more connections with the EU economically.

The puppet did this after meeting with Russian officials.

Protests broke out in Kiev and the Russian puppet killed his own citizens with sniper fire.

Parliament voted to convict the Russian puppet and he fled to Russia.

The Western part of Ukraine belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire and then Poland, before WWII.

Nope. Not a neocon. I was against Iraq war and wanted us out in 3 months. I supported Afghan war for obvious reasons but wanted us out in 6 months.

“Russians and a large portion of Ukrainians consider the Ukraine to be a part of Russia”

Incorrect. Ukrainians want nothing to do with Russia and they want in NATO. Russians starved tons of Ukraine citizens prior to WWII.

They have distinct cultural differences and blood lines. The Russians inside Ukraine, were sent there by the Politburo to Russify Ukraine. They can go back to Russia at any time, freely.

“We have no business there. It is not in our national interest”

Ukraine is sovereign. Ukraine is none of Russia’s business either.

We are not there nor are we going there. Russia will pay a heavy, no huge economic price if they invade.
