Do me a favor as I’m limited on time. Help me find a protective sleeve or container of some sort that truly works to preserve the devices advertised in the above link (they are presently sold out on phones but may have devices in stock that enable our cell phones to be converted to satellite phones).
Here’s the argument I’m having with someone I’ll call Jay:
Jay: Satellite phones won’t survive an EMP attack.
Me: I’m more worried about being doxxed as a domestic terrorist and having my cell data stream turned off along with my bank account.
Jay: You won’t be able to get around the turn off of your electronic payments.
Me: I disagree. I’m coming up to speed on crypto wallets and a satellite phone can execute those transactions.
Jay: (again) But your satellite phone won’t survive an EMP attack.
Me: Surely there are Faraday Cage type devices that can protect a satellite phone against EMP attacks which are transitory and relatively localized.

I have my doubts about that number being thrown about as if it were true.
I only use that number sarcastically. I may have to start annotating it that way when I do use it.
