Far from the “cakewalk” Russia expected. Demonstrators in Russia are treated like “insurrectionists”.

Sure and Biden got 81 million votes, masks and lockdowns stopped the spread of Covid and our biolabs in Ukraine were perfectly harmless.

The script and reality will collide soon enough.

Did the Russians get the mobile crematoria from China, you know, the ones they were using in Wuhan in 2020?

Actually it belongs to both sides. The conscripts are the ones being killed because they had no idea they were even going to war.

I agree.

Stalin had trouble finding generals who weren't terrified of going against him on tactics.

Stalin killed off almost all of the Russian senior officer core in The Purges.

“Anybody seen the video with scores of body bags of dead Ukrainians in the background and then one bag opens up and a guy in a baseball hat starts crawling out. 😆. Fake, phony and false folks.”

Ah, you mean the repurposed video from one of greta thunburgs moronic climate protests?

Grant's casualty rates were higher than McClellan and the other generals of the Army of the Potomac, but he accomplished more than the others, which was the reason Lincoln wanted Grant in command. Lincoln was no doubt aware of the high casualty rates in the western theater, yet also was aware of Grant's victories, particularly the siege and fall of Vicksburg, which split the Confederacy in two. The North, with its larger population, could afford more casualties than the South. By and large, the Northern population accepted the casualties as long as it appeared the Union is winning.

Since this thread is about Russia vs. Ukraine, the issue arises as to the tolerance of the Russian public to massive losses. Keep in mind that the Russian press is controlled to a great extent, and their government is decoupling from the world wide web. But as has been pointed out, Russian disasters in the Russo-Japanese War and World War I led to the failure of Tsarism, and the Soviet debacle in Afghanistan contributed to the collapse of the USSR.

The only good communist is a dead communist...

No global limit...
Let the Ukes handle the russkies and 15 busted dams handle the chicoms...

More importantly, can hardly wait until we start on our ruling communist masters and their supporters...

Yes, I know all about Stalin’s purges of generals. It’s irrelevant.

It was Russian troops that took Berlin in 1945.

The losses of Russian men and materiel was considerable. At the Battle of Kursk, for example, the Soviets lost hundreds of tanks, far more than the Germans lost. The Russian losses of men numbered tens of thousands more than what the Germans lost. By those measures, one would think that Germany won Kursk. But, not so. Not only did the Germans actually lose Kursk, the USSR gained the initiative on the Eastern Front from that point on. For Germany, the Eastern Front collapsed.

Stalin's terror left an inedible impression on the Soviet leadership, The Red Army and the Russian people, fear is a great motivator. What Stalin did to his own people can hardly be called ‘’irrelevant.

While the Russian contribution in WW2 was enormous it couldn't have been accomplished without massive American aid(which Stalin never paid back) and never forget how chummy Hitler and Stalin were up until June of 1941.
\Pardon me if I take a dim view of the Russian version of WW2.

You think members of the Russian military don't remember when Putin refused to leave his luxury resort, on the dime of of his globalist buddies, to help the brave men of the Kursk? He sat around playing with his mistresses and eating caviar and drinking champagne while those brave men. Then Putin was rude to their families. The military knows Putin holds them in contempt as cannon fodder rabble.
