I think this question might have been pitched at you before, or at least posed in a thread you have posted in. Would you support U.S invading Mexico if it entered into an alliance with China and hosted Chinese troops and weaponry?
This is a common question from the pro-Putin wing.
It’s an irrational question at the current time. The better question to ask is what we would do if Russia or China placed missiles in Cuba. And aside from targeting Cuba with a few hundred nuclear weapons (just in case) we would do precisely nothing else.

It wasn’t an irrational question in the 1st world war regarding Mexico. Regardless, it is hypothetical at the current time but China is certainly interested in the region via the currently stalled Nicaraguan Canal project.
