I can’t remember the whole story, but he’s a moderate Muslim, and has objected to the politicization of Islam, and to terrorism. His faith is also greatly informed by Sufism.
We’ll be lucky if he is even half as good as a Bush League Republican.
Considering the self-professed ‘Christians’ in so many high places who are tearing down our country, I don’t pay much attention to anyone’s religion.

Our military heroes don’t usually fare well. My first political donation was to Republican Bob Dole thinking, 🤔 “slam dunk”.
So who did America get instead?
Coming from an Airborne family, I’m biased.
But when it comes to a celeb schmoozing around with rich democrats and pretending to be a Republican, versus a man who hooks up to a static line (or out the back of a C130 Hercules) and leaps out into the wild blue yonder, well, that’s an easy choice for me.
RE Dole: Dole was old school gentleman politics. The fight had already passed him by, and he didn’t realize who and what the dems had become… or maybe always were.
We need warriors right now, not celebrities.
De Santis in Florida is an example. He’s showing how it’s done.
