Take a look at the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. This is an overwhelmingly Hispanic area and Mr. Trump gained upwards of 20-30% between 2016 and 2020. He went from non- competitive to competitive. There is a shift, maybe not a majority, but a much bigger portion of Hispanics are willing to give the GOP a shot.

Yep. Despite the racist trailer trash.

Trump won a large majority of the Cuban Hispanic vote in Florida. It’s literally the reason for the HUGE swing in Miami-Dade (one of the largest in the country.)

Not to mention the Dims obvious favoritism towards a certain other minority.

Biden’s got two major issues with Hispanics in general. 1. They are generally quite religious as a group and 2. They are extremely opposed to illegal immigration as a whole as they were forced to go through proper legal channels to become citizens and resent the illegals.

I do not dispute what you're saying, but there's a third reason, one that I've shared on a previous thread some time ago.

My job takes me inside a variety of high schools in the South. There's no way to put this in a politically correct sort of way... Hispanic young people do not like black young people.

Hispanic youths segregate themselves from black students. They don't sit near them in class, won't tolerate them at a lunch table, won't listen to their music. Most won't even play on sports teams with them. Much to the frustration of a high school baseball coach I know, Hispanic boys prefer to play local club baseball that lets them put their own teams together, rather than the high school team where they'd have to play with black students. I once saw a photo of a local high school soccer team, and I was shocked that not a single Hispanic player was on it. I'd estimate the Hispanic population at that school to be 30%.

I once witnessed a less-experienced teacher ask a Hispanic student to help a black student with some math homework, and the Hispanic student simply said, "No, my English isn't good enough. I can't help him," and he didn't budge an inch. That student's English was fine. I knew it, the teacher knew it, the black student knew it.

It's not typically outright Klan-level hostility, but it is very noticeable. They quietly, but firmly, distance themselves. They assimilate with white students well. There is some limited inter-racial dating with white students, but never, and I mean NEVER, with black students.

My sense from visiting high schools with a larger population of both black and Hispanic students is that black students know the score, and pretty much leave the Hispanics alone.

The moral of this long story is that young politically aware Hispanics recognize that the Democratic party is the "black party" and they're going the opposite direction.

“It’s the inflation stupid.”

Those living hand to mouth feel it most, and first.

Food and energy inflation is cutting like a knife.

I’ve been hearing some variation of this for almost 20 years...

Trump was touted as narrowing the gap by the most of any R president. He got 30%.

I’ll believe this tidal shift when I see it...

They went through the whole process and obtained citizenship the hard way. Then these a@@holes get to jump to the head of the line just so they can be slaves of the cartels and drive down everyone’s wages.

How compassionate of Foe./s

Lower approval than the public at large.

This could be a huge opportunity for a realignment...provided the GOP doesn’t blow it.

Oh you can believe that the GOP WILL blow it !!! I’m starting to think that they (GOP) are doing so on purpose at this point because NO ONE can be this STUPID!
