In birds or in people? :-)

As for people...

https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2022/s0428-avian-flu.html

“...While it is possible the detection of H5 bird flu in this specimen is a result of surface contamination of the nasal membrane, that can’t be determined at this point and the positive test result meets the criteria for an H5 case...”

SNORT.

FWIW, I believe our current government is a far more clear and present danger to the public health than bird flu.

We started our ornithology research in earnest this week. Several of the focal species for the research are at low risk of HPAI. For example, Tree (mostly) and Barn Swallows (exclusively) eat inspects on the wing and drink on the wing as well, so their risk from coming into contact with other bird species with a higher recorded incidence of HPAI is low.

We also do a mortality census of birds found dead along the roadway and that involves handling the bird to determine species, sex, age, etc. We sometimes come across gulls and corvids, and handle them with gloves anyways. We will handle all mortalities this season with gloves, but no masks or eye protection, as we assess the risk as minimal.

We do handle nestlings in the nestbox to verify counts before fledging and we already spray our hands with IPA 70. We will change that to a Clorox based product this season (looking at doing this well before HPAI became a possibility this season) in order to reduce cross nestbox spread of bird pox, which we do run across every once in awhile.

-- Is CDC preparing yet another fake "pandemic" to help Dems steal the elections again? --

No more need to fake a pandemic than there is to fake a sunrise. These are occurances of nature, they happen.

The issue is the government stirring up hysteria using disinformation, then trading on the hysteria to get compliance with their tyranical herd-control instincts.

The sheep will do as they are told.

Negative for the public, positive for the ruling class.
