As I sit here, my daughter and new son-in-law are sitting on board their plane awaiting takeoff on their honeymoon, going from Chicago to London , and then to Pisa, Italy, and Tuscany. Mrs. T and I will be following on FlightAware.

Too early in the season for fresh picked wild mint leaves crushed ever so gently and intermingled with the ice but a aplash of peppermint schnapps into the bourbon is the next best thing.

I have the Kentucky bourbon and will pick up the mint leaves tomorrow.

For many years, this brand of whiskey was the one most used at the Derby to make mint juleps.

I have a list in my head of all the sporting events I MUST see during the year.
The Triple Crown is on that list. The horses, the post call, the excitement- it’s one of the coolest events I’ll watch all year. Looking forward to it!
