How's everyone doing this morning?
Job 39:19-25
19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting
A short history of the gardens: ** snicker **
I have not planted any veggies this year. I have several varieties of roses, hibiscus, piscuala, elephant ears, ajuga, banana trees and mariposas. I have planted the seeds of several different varieties of other roses, two peach seeds and I am expecting a delivery of other plants this afternoon but I have already forgotten what they are! ;-) Oh, yes! They are other varieties of ajuga. I just planted a few seeks of green, bell pepper but do not expect them to grow because I have not been successful with them in years past.
The climbing, white, rose bush was overwhelmed with white roses and the pink, climbing, rose bush looked like one, giant. pink rose. ;-)
I just planted guayaba and papaya seeds. They usually grow but are very sensitive to changes in weather so that I am taking a ‘wait-and-see’ attitude with them.
The hibiscus always blooms but it is unfortunate that the flowers are one day only.
There is one ground cover which I have in the garden. I do not know the name but they look like crab grass. However, they are bonified ground cover plants and have blooms.
Night before last at about 9 P.M. I was out digging up the crab grass ground cover to plant it in other areas of the garden.....during the rain. Mrs. spel was having a conniption fit but I just laughed. She was naming every disease known to man which I was going to catch if I continued to work in the rain.
Now, aren’t you sorry that you asked? ;-)
LOL! No, not really. I am visualizing you sopping wet with Mrs. Boss at the door yelling at you to come inside. I hope you don’t get sick.
Sounds like some really cool plants and the roses sound beautiful. All my roses have died. The drought and that awful freeze from winter before last did them in. I ask for new bushes, but hubby ignores me. :)
I’m not betting today, but it’s bad luck to not place a bet on a gray horse. I like White Abarrio, looks pretty good.
Great live appearance by President Trump on the balcony about 20 minutes ago. Surrounded by supporters. Waved to the crowd.
I saw that! What a longcshot! RICH Strike!
Wow what a naughty horse LOL!
Rich Strike was not happy being led by another horse...naughty indeed.
Late friend I used to work with got married on a Derby Day back in the 80s.
On the trip from the Church to the photographer’s, to the reception he had the limo driver pull in to a bar so they could watch the Derby...tuxedos, gowns and all.
I never believed the story until I met his wife and she confirmed it.
RIP, Mark.
Wow. Amazing horse.
RIP, Mark...but what a GREAT story, and piece of family history!
I loved the drone shot of him coming from the back and weaving in and out to find his place on the inside and then, take off for the win!
Very impressive horse.
