Well, I could also be accused of suggesting that the NFL coaches are purposefully putting the black players in harms way so they get injured and go away faster. I like watching great athletes. I know you aren't interested in pro football, but Patrick Mahomes is a phenomenal mixed-race quarterback. The top wide receiver, Cooper Kupp, is VERY white, uncharacteristically NOT greedy, either. He isn't the fastest, or the tallest, or possess the acrobatic moves that an Odell Beckham Jr. has.

He just gets open short, mid, long. Catches almost everything catch-able. Doesn't drop balls. And is able to gain additional yards after the catch. Pretty much a perfect player at a position rightly dominated by very talented black men.

I wonder why there are so few black kickers. No lack of muscles. Frankly, it’s a good gig. You have a low pay ceiling ($3-$5 million per year), but you rarely get hurt. You get to play for 10-15 years without really worrying about security if you are any good. Kickers can be heroes as well as goats (not the Tom Brady kind). You are not as badly affected by having bad players around you. And yet, few black kickers.

I don't question that, but a dedicated team of Google algorithm writers cannot cover every instance. I was simply stating that she treated Google like Siri, Cortana, Alexa or Google Assistant (which is NOT the same as the Google Search Engine).

Blacks are being pushed on society in ads and various other venues today.....politically and otherwise as well. They’re also trending in Hollywood as I’ve never seen so many ads of wannabe black actors.....Obamas fingerprints all over the place.

I think they got the balance about right in the '70s. There were plenty of shows with and about black people that were watched because they were well done for the genre (Black shows: "Sanford and Son", "The Jeffersons", "What's Happening!", "Good Times" White shows with non-token black characters: "Welcome Back Kotter","Mod Squad", "The Rookies" ). Despite being lefty created, the sitcoms allowed jokes that touched on race and comic black characters. The ones that weren't very good didn't stick around ("Baby I'm Back", "That's My Mama") The cop shows could have an edge, but never questioned the basic idea of cops who serve law and order are good guys.

Now humor has been replaced with prescribed sanctimony.

Well I basically ignore them and flip past the ads on line or otherwise am not the least interested in what they’re representing - not even a little. In fact the other day i saw a comercial FOR Hispanics in their language - again Obamas handprints on the transformation of America.

Every doctor, dentist and even veterinarian in commercials are black. Mostly black female.

You’re right about the 70’s shows but those refelcted their culture - today they try to set another venue as if there’s been a change in their culture or perhaps to encourage blacks to be more ........I won’t say it.

Well Lewis Hamilton is one of the best E1 drivers I have ever seen, even if I don't particularly like the guy. And he has plenty of balls.

Sometimes a sitcom can work BECAUSE of that feature. "The Beverly Hillbillies" being an extreme example. But even a fish out of water is still a fish. Dihann Carroll claimed that "Julia" was more a fantasy than a light family drama, but her character was very real, AND very sympathetic. A Chinaman could watch a translated version and root for the characters.

The level of snark in all so-called comedies today shows a poverty in the souls of the writers, and perhaps of the audiences. My wife noted that Ellen Degeneres always seems to take delight and glee in mean pranks. Not "Candid Camera" style crazy situations, but truly embarrassing events, funny ONLY because they are embarrassing. Comic television, including the reality shows of yesteryear, usually was light and silly on the embarrassment, and you were still supposed to identify with the characters/contestants rather than merely laugh AT them. (e.g. "Beat the Clock", "Truth or Consequences". Even '70s shows like the "Don Adams Screen Test") Chuck Barris' "Gong Show" may be a notable exception, along with the $1.98 Beauty Contest, but they were exceptions, and were designed to attract, rather than entrap the targets.

I haven’t watched a sitcom or TV show in years - Writers simply are lousy now and lack imagination and any common sense about what the public wants to view. Today it’s all about shoving down your throat socially manufactured agendas with a drumbeat I can do without.

She’s hit on a great point. Something like 70% of NFL players are Black even though Blacks are only 13% of the population. Obvious Racism!

Other even more obvious examples....There are 32 NFL teams. So there are 64 starting Cornerbacks. Not a single one of these starting Cornerbacks is White! Not one! White people are at least 70% of the population.

If White people were to be represented in the NFL equal to their share of the population, there would need to be about 45 starting White Cornerbacks in the NFL. Anything less than that is proof of the NFL’s racism against White people.

Who cares if they can’t cover anybody? Then we’ll just insist that there be more starting White Wide Receivers so that they can cover somebody.

We need an NFL that looks like America.

Just wait til I get started on the NBA.

The NFL became a minority sport when it allowed kneeing. It has gone down the same road as the NBA. I’d expect it to be all black in the near future.
