NY State Police took him into custody after the school reported his comments, and they brought him to the hospital for an evaluation. But that’s seemingly where it ended. This was in June 2021.
He made no prior prosecutable threats. The criminal justice system was powerless to stop this shooting.
Well, we are pretty much powerless to do much more. I think we need to address these things and design some creative solutions to help these people with mental illness.
Compare his threats to anything the J6 committee is prosecuting.
The people with the most power to stop people like this shooter are family and friends. I guarantee you there were dozens of signs that this guy was crossing the line to violence, and now that people look back they will say to themselves, “why didn’t I tell anyone about him?”
The shooter was sent to a psychiatrist for a mental evaluation and placed on SSRI's.

Another “on the radar” shooter.
But taking the Buffalo shooting incident by itself, he made no prior threats. Police brought him for a psych evaluation a year ago, but he didn't say or do anything arrestable prior to this incident. Friends and family are the only hope for stopping guys like this.

This area of NYS (Broome County)is one of the most economically depressed areas too.
It has been hurting for a while now. Meanwhile, across the border in PA, their economy has been booming ever since fracking/horizontal drilling for natural gas became a thing.
It’s their knee-jerk go-to reaction to everything.

My personal suspicion is that the state police knew his family (both parents were civil engineers and state employees) and probably took their assurances that the family would keep an eye on him. That never turns out well.
This nutcase bought his gun legally, and the dealer said he did everything right..he checked the list he had of persons not permitted to buy guns (because of mental problems or felonies) and the kids wasn’t on it. He would certainly have been referred automatically by the police if they had done their job, especially since he was hospitalized after threatening to carry out a school mass shooting.
Being humans, Freepers want to live in a magic world where we can have things both ways. We want freedom for US, yet want law enforcement to preemptively stop maniacal THEM from committing mass murder.
What sort of threat did the Buffalo mass murderer make in HS to get that much LE attention?
In the majority of these shooting cases, these perps have already been known to mental health services, and local law enforcement...also, likely been known to the FBI, probably been interviewed more than once by them, then marked as not being a danger to themselves, or others. It’s gotten to be so common these days, it’s a joke. Just like D.A.’s and Judges immediately releasing violent offenders after their arrest, so they can go right back out and kill an innocent person.

Maybe the writing in the manifesto is just a symptom of mental illness, but it almost seems like someone repeating directions:
-At home I will pick up all my gear and put it in an industrial trash bag, then I will put this bag in a laundry basket and place it on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I will put the three guns (two of them have carriers) behind my seat with a blanket over them to cover it from outsiders. I will also have discord at my house running a live recording of my twitch account.-I eat a large portion of corn beef hash for breakfast
-I will leave my house at 7:30 and travel to Buffalo in regular clothing, should arrive just before 12:00
-At 12:00 I will go inside the store for the second to last time and make sure everything is as expected
-I will follow my planned course of action and make sure I know exactly where to go between 12:00 and 2:45. I will also get some food at McDonalds.
-At 3:30 I will park in the designated gear up spot off of Sherman St and fully gear up. I will take my 3 guns out of their carriers and put them in the passenger seat of my car. I chamber the shotgun and add another in the magazine tube, and do the same to the savage axis. Both of these guns will have the safety engaged. (I may change the location I gear up if I determine it is too risky.)
-At 3:50 I will publish my 8chan post on 8chan.moe, 4chan post on 4chan linked to 8chan post, send links to the discord servers I’m in, and send links to all people on my discord friend list. After I’m done posting I will take the XM-15 and properly wear the sling and place the gun to the left of my legs. I insert the coupled magazines, chamber a round with the M855 mag and make sure the gun is on safe.
-At 3:55 I start the livestream, and make it out onto Sherman St, I will take a right on to High St, take a right onto Johnson St, make it across Best St onto Wohlers Ave, and park on the side of the road just before Riley St.
There have been multiple examples of mass shootings, and even an intentional murder by car during a parade, and each was described as resulting from mental illness. But in this case, supposedly the shooter is a totally sane "white supremacist". Even though his manifesto includes a set of instructions with phrases that seem very unlikely to come from a person's own mind.
Hochul is going to be offering yhe victim’s families taxpayer money.
My bet is to get them to shut up and go away.
I wonder if the families will accept Deep State’s blood money...
