Where is the shortage? Our little grocery in eastern middle of nowhere Montana has ample supply. I just looked on Amazon and find bunches of formula in a wide variety of brands and blends. I call fraud; an engineered “crisis.”
They were saying that 78,000 lbs was enough to feed 500,000 babies. For how long? One meal?
More than 70,000 pounds of formula arrives in US, shipment will not be heading to store shelves
This initial shipment, which landed in Indianapolis on Sunday, will be destined for pharmacies and health care facilities.
Unfortunately, people who didn’t vote for him are suffering, too.
I read that the Sturgis plant made 40% but that might have meant 40% of what’s supplied for WIC.
X number of Military Lift aircraft need a mission to get to the service depos. The odds are the aircraft would have flown near empty to get 2-5 flight crews some required hours.
Putting the next 800,000 lbs in 20 international shipping containers would be the green solution. The .8 million pounds will take about 160 gallons of ship fuel to get here and have the environmental impact of driving the president across DC for ice cream.
The Dems view is, we wouldn’t have had this shortage if you’d let us kill them all before birth...or maybe a little after.
“Add in the shipping cost and the cost per unit is only 100x the USA normal cost.”
Bingo. Using emergency government resources to make up for the administration’s supply catastrophe ends up adding cost that shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
Regular record inflation just wasn’t cutting it. Is there anything biden can’t make worse? Not so far.
The political equivalent of Münchausen Syndrome.
“I had hope for Americans..... But over 1/2 are completely sold on government resolving all problems——yes, even my “Republican” friends think like this as well.”
It seemed reasonable that the government could solve real and potential problems that it caused.
1. Shut down a crucial plant with zero concern about the consequences.
2. When writing laws restricting/regulating other sources, no consideration of “emergencies” (such as this one).
Not much value add there. Might as well have zero regulation with a better tort system.
Truckloads of the stuff is at the US/Mexican border for the illegal invasion. Ship it back north for American babies.
...78,000 lbs was enough to feed 500,000 babies. For how long? One meal?
Probably one meal.
Honestly, I’m surprised that these commie scum subhuman creatures haven’t blamed President Trump for this shortage.
Unless they have, and I missed it.
Either way, they’ll blame anyone but themselves.
Who cares what she says? She’s the Nicolle Wall@$$ if the morning.
I’m years past needing to buy formula, and the shelves aren’t overflowing, but there appears to be a substantial supply in the local stores, though Safeway has it under lock and key behind clear doors
Even though Amazon might show formula can be ordered I’d bet it’s delayed and doesn’t come and then Amazon cancels and refunds the $$. They do this often—kind of a bait and switch.
No, Mika. America getting 100% of its infant formula manufactured outside the US and imported is something to brag about, right?
I am reminded of Harry Chapin’s song about 30,000 pounds of bananas. Too bad he’s not around for an update. Maybe Weird Al Yankovick might tackle it?
The Niece put out an all points bulleting to extended family today. Her twins are on Similac Neocare formula, and she can’t find it. Fortunately, Instacart out our way showed a Mexican Market in Chino CA had it. I took a trip over and sure enough they had four cans with a four can limit. I felt a bit bad for those in the same situation, so I just took three. Not sure how long that will last her with twins. I checked two other Grocery stores on the same trip as I was going there anyway and all stores were pretty much picked over. I’m sure some of it is panic hoarding.
