Yes it does. The EU ( I travelled in/ out for decades) has turned into a socialist s-hole, Islamist strongholds from Paris to Cologne to Madrid. Illegal alien tent cities all over Cologne, overrun. Between VAT taxes and income taxes, the average EU citizen sees only between 40-52 percent of his paycheck (Switzerland the worst- Germany close), NOT a society to be supported or emulated. They are broke, been charging negative interest rates for years, and steal everything they can from their citizens to fund their governments.

It does seem Ukraine is slowly being pushed out of Donbas by an immense amount of sewage flowing into the country from the Russian toilet. It’s a narrow front now and Ukraine does not have the ability to target Russian airfields, supply lines, etc.
None of this unrings the humiliations Putinist Russia has garnered in recent months. The Moskva is still on the bottom of the sea, Sweden has ended 200 years of neutrality and joined NATO, Russia’s best troops made into sausage at the gates of Kyiv, etc. But no doubt Putinist filth will cheer this on. I would have preferred Russia never invaded in the first place. And don’t give me that BS that Russia just wanted to rescue the Russian citizens in the Donbas (had that been their intent, those citizens could have simply gone across the border to Russia, where they are citizens). Had that been Russia’s goal it would not have demanded the complete demilitarization of Ukraine.
So, who is the warmonger? Me, whose preference is that no invasion had taken place in the first place? Or, you, who demands Ukrainian surrender to Russia, or face the Wrath of Vlad for failing to do so?

Nope, Russia wants a Russian enclave inside another country, not only loyal to Russia, but “voting” to be annexed BY Russia (which Russia will gladly accommodate). Russia used the same playbook in the Caucasus.

In your examples, WE invaded and WE occupied, and WE decided when and how to stay or leave.
In the Russo-Ukraine War we may have some influence (money and materiel), but that is just temporary, and while we may desire a certain outcome, when it comes down to it we will have no say in the matter. So, if the Russo-Ukraine War becomes a Forever War, that will be on the two belligerents, not on us, not on NATO, not on the EU.
