The pro-Second Amendment contingent failed when we did not push back, vociferously, at the first use of the term ‘assault rifle’, which the lefturds accepted as the meaning of “AR” in AR-15.
In point of fact, that simple oversight has wrought a lot of this crap in the last 30 years or so.
“AR” stands for “Armalite Rifle”, the original manufacturer.
Thinking folks know that the AR-15 is not at all unlike the Ruger Mini-14 (for example) or myriad other semi-automatic firearms.
