“The queen and whole inbred family should abdicate and let the country move on. Shame on Americans for in any way supporting or celebrating their continued rule.”
Lose your traditions...lose your national identity. Last I looked, it was up to the people of the UK to decide to keep a monarchy - or not. Stop shaming others about who they can or can’t support. That’s fascist.
It is not fascist, it is patriotic. We got our independence yet standby while the rest of the British Empire, what’s left of it, remains under the inbred yoke of the monarchy.
The United Kingdom is still our ally. No need to disrespect their form of government or heritage. If the Brits want the monarchy to go, they will make it happen.
Actually the crowd was huge. I think all know this is the last Jubalee they will see their 96 yr old Queen Elizabeth.
The fly over with Jets forming 70 was clearly a delight for the Queen as she smiled broadly.
Kate of course is stunning - a beautiful woman. ....worthy of the Prince I think.
All on the balcony are “working royals” - they do the heavy lifting.
A grand celebration.
“remains under the inbred yoke of the monarchy”
You do realize they have no power...they’re only figureheads? Blame Parliament and the Prime Minister for the woes of the British Empire.
Only wide shot I’ve seen is of The Mall, and it doesn’t take many to pack that. Especially when people are give a day off. Most pics are still tight shots.
Wanna bet all that bunting was made in China...
Pierce Morgan cant stop complaining about Harry and Andrew. They’re not there so shut up about them. It’s not about them. After that... I was pleased to have watched the pageantry and precision of the celebratory court. It was pretty amazing. Good point was made that corrupt republics are replaced by monarchies and when the monarchy goes corrupt it swings back to the republic.
No doubt many wished Charles and Camila could just be skipped over and go straight to William and Katherine.
Charles is a total Globalist and Environmental nutcase as I see it. And Camila will always be seen as the other woman that came between Charles and Diana.
100% correct.
Its been ceremonial since the 1600’s!
Not a fan of the system myself but hard not to admire the queen. Charles as king will dent the monarchy’s popularity no question about that...
Some people certainly do. Those who know them - and I am lucky enough to count myself among them - do not - for two reasons. One, we know what the Prince of Wales is really like - and it's not really what the image of him spread by the media suggests - and two, we don't wish the responsibility to be dropped on the Duke of Cambridge any earlier than necessary.
Charles is a total Globalist and Environmental nutcase as I see it.
He really isn't - well, he's not a globalist. He is an environmentalist, but I wouldn't call him a nutcase. But he's more than those things. He's also a patriot utterly dedicated to his country and the Commonwealth, who has dedicated his life to doing his duty. He's quite conservative on many issues - he is reasonably pro-gun rights for example, and he's extremely pro-military, having done a great deal for veterans, and even when it comes to his environmental ideas, he has put his money where his mouth is, investing heavily in exploring new ways of sustainable farming, and developing sustainable communities as models that could work well across Britain.
Part of the problem is, the media has no interest in promoting these aspects of what he does, so they largely ignore than type of thing. Because they do agree with his environmental stances, they constantly publicise them which can leave people with the impression that that type of thing is all he cares about.
And Camila will always be seen as the other woman that came between Charles and Diana.
Not anymore. She has earned a great deal of respect over recent years - there are still some who will never forgive her for what they perceive as her sins with regards to Diana, but while neither she, nor the Prince, are totally blameless in that regard, Diana wasn't totally blameless either - a long way from being so - and a more balanced view has developed over time, among those who are interested enough to really care.
My view is that the Prince of Wales will be a good King. His mother has been a great Queen and I don't think he'd rise to her level, even if he had the time - but he won't disgrace his office, or his country. And one of his greatest roles has been to groom William as well - he may actually have time to do far more.
You obviously have seen the photos. of the crowd in The Mall.
I will disagree - My opinion of Charles is not from the media rather his interviews and statements. Further no amount of respect for working camila will erase she was Charles side package in his marriage to Diana.
Love your home page. May they all rest in peace.
