It’s a war of attrition. Vlad couldn’t care less about casualties. The eventual outcome is obvious.
The outcome is anything but obvious.

Does Putin know this?
Russia has “strategically lost”
Another Richard Ukrainium analysis of the situation in Ukraine.
Baghdad Bob Talk IMHO.
How does Ukraine *possibly* prevail?????
Putin’s losing. Along with his Chechen monkeys.
Flashback: Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov Declares Victory Over Besieged Ukrainian City of Severodonetsk (over TWO WEEKS AGO)
Chechen leader and Vladimir Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov has declared victory over the besieged eastern Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk.
Putin knows it and he’s desperate for a deal. Panic is setting in on top of his terminal cancer and his pregnant mistress who refuses to get an abortion. When it rains, it pours.
By not becoming a Russian client state?
By maintaining independence?
Idiotic analysis based on false premise. Nowhere, not even once did Russia state a goal to seize all of Ukraine or even Kiev. It was in his why and what we’re doing speech. Destroy the uke military, stop Ukraine from joining NATO, denazify, and protect the Donbass and Lugansk republics.
But nice strawman.
They really had no option. If they didn’t move. Kiev would join NATO and attack the eastern breakaway republics. So they had a bad option and a really bad option. They warned us, tried to avoid it, and then went with “bad option”.
Guess you can’t read can you.
How can people answer your dramatic question when you just read a top defense official give you the answer, and you act like you have no idea.
Yeah, the problem with being a dictator is it's tough to take your bow and leave the stage.
He was apparently sitting in on the Kremlin planning sessions...
That’s a secondary objective IMO - primary was getting Ukraine to cede ethnically Russian Eastern Ukraine.
TOP DEFENSE OFFICIALS...
Wow, you sure proved alot with that. LOL.
And name calling undermines the believability of your post because you wouldn’t resort to it if the so-called evidence of your post was sufficient.
Whereas what I posted has Americans, Europeans, and Ukrainians declaring Ukraine is losing compared to you saying Russia is losing.

That’s for sure. How does Ukraine prevail? It doesn’t.
Stop your psycho rationalizations for launching wars in Europe.
Bunch of useful idiots watching Russia destroy a country and people, writing lengthy explanations of why Russia “had no choice”.
Russia launched this attack because Putin wants his empire before he dies.
For certain most of the Russian leadership is horrified by the result.
“Russia had no choice” is just like all the articles that say “China is furious” because Taiwan in independent
No such thing. Just the maneuvering and lies of dictators.
If you ever actually read Putin’s speeches, you’d see he has entirely different explanations for his actions. (Which are also lies).
