Mr. K shows his true colors—and its black with a bent cross. No Good Guys here. Best to drop them like a hot potato and let the people of Ukraine take our their own trash. But, due to Biden and the Liberals, Mr. K will have a great palace to spend the rest of his life—grander than any Roman Emperor. Maybe a yacht more opulent than Putin’s.

The problem with comments I referenced is not that they are critical of Zelensky, but that they are consistently for Russia or Putin, and also frequently try to include a gay insult into their anti-Zelensky comments. You will note that I stated the desireability of seeing how Zelensky acts politically, when he is no longer defending Ukraine from an invasion. Also I see an additional comment indicating that the banned party was probably NOT the second largest party with very few seats in the legislature, and probaably a lie therefore.

“these clowns were Russian tools, deliberately sabotaging the political process ... they deserved to be banned”

You do know that is what the Democrats say about us, right?

Then I guess you now like Zelensky? Or do you dislike Putin? Which one?

Third option: Dislike Zelensky. Dislike Putin.

“You failed in your argument. You just violated Godwin’s law.”

Not at all. Godwin speaks to >> comparisons << to Nazis and Hitler.

I’m directly referencing the American Nazi Party and the reference is germane to the conversation as an example of a political party being banned during wartime. Same as what’s happening in Ukraine.

A lesser known fact about the history of the Japanese camps is the role the Census Bureau played:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/confirmed-the-us-census-b/

This was kept secret for many decades.

I took this very personally, because back in the (pre disclosure) day I worked for the Census Bureau and drank the Kool-Aid (we never released confidential information) and it was a Big Lie.

Never trust .gov.

Never ever.

No country has to put up with a “political party” that is actively trying to undermine it

Well, we in America have been putting up with the Democrats for a while now.

Third option...they both undermine their narratives that Zelensky is presiding over a beacon of democracy.....or that Putin does.

btw all you Putin apologists, how much freedom do political parties have in the pedophile’s Russia?

Yes, of course. If the shoe was on the other foot they would be shot out of hand. That’s how one party state fascist Russia treats its political opposition. Any potentially popular opposition gets rubbed out mafia style.

When Germany declared war on the USA in 1941 the US government banned the American Nazi Party, arrested and prosecuted some of their leaders for treason, and seized all of their assets. Now convince me that this was wrong.

I *DO* think this was wrong. You do NOT ban ANY opposition party, not in America. You need to keep tabs on them, of course, so you infiltrate the hell outta them, like the FBI does to us, now.

There's a reason why ad hominem arguments and guilt by association are considered fallacies.

Some of the swamp may be supporting Ukraine because they find the war a useful distraction from the manifest failures of the Biden regime, others because they are in the pockets of defense contractors.

To me that's irrelevant, because I think in terms of geostrategy that allowing Russia to get away with this war would be a disaster for the US and would probably produce a much larger war in Europe in the near future.

As for the other side here on FR, those who are not foreign Putin bots, most of you seem to suffer from Biden Derangement Syndrome and oppose anything this regime does without judging the action on its own merits. Take the open border: I think that was a disaster when Bush promoted it and I think it's a disaster now with current regime. It's the policy, not the people making it that's decisive.

Once you break the rules, there are no rules. There is only the growing exercise of government power, always with an excuse of an emergency.

“Russia shouldn’t invade an independent country,”

So you think Russia should be invading other countries and annexing territory?

You’re a joke. The seizure and ban has to do with leveling treason charges against the party leader. This has nothing to do with Democracy but to put down those who would prove troubling and would actively interfere to scuttle the defense operations efforts of Ukraine and/or found to aid in any way the enemy.

////

KYIV, June 2 (Reuters) - Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre-trial investigation into pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who is accused of treason, and it has filed the case to court, the law enforcement agency said on Thursday.

Medvedchuk, one of President Vladimir Putin’s allies in Ukraine, faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted of treason and violating the laws and customs of war, the agency said in a statement on its website.

////

There is nothing wrong with what Zelensky is doing any more than Abraham Lincoln did to save the union... as well as FDR having emergency powers to lock down political opposition and assets during WWII, and ratting out communist organizations during the 50’s and 60’s cold war.

Zelensky is operating with the powers of martial law. Emergency powers to halt the undermining of a unified and cohesive defense against Putin’s invasion. Any hooligans, opposition or party leadership that engages in opposition to the efforts in defending Ukraine against the invasion SHOULD be held accountable through arrest, treason charges and asset seizure.

Try doing a little research before posting this crap and it’s twisted misguided narrative. Even Paul Joseph Watson can get his perspective wrong. Very disappointed in this crap article he wrote.

A president doesn’t need public opinion during martial law... and certainly doesn’t need the noise from political opposition parties during an invasion crisis. A president does what is necessary to garner all support in efforts to expell the invaders by muzzling anyone who would become an obstacle to those efforts!!

You don’t allow opposition and pro-Russian activist’s a megaphone when your trying to save your country from a fascist regime takeover!

All of the Ukraine cheerleaders are about to get a cold splash of water in their face to wake them out of their sleep.

I’m afraid most of them won’t see it. I’m not even sure if this article is the truth -since the propaganda has been thick on both sides, but the Zelensky Fan Club seems to be pretty devout.
