A gun bill that only goes after law abiding citizens and does nothing to criminals
He can't leave fast enough for my liking.
“rewrite of the nation’s firearm laws”
The ONLY legitimate “law” regarding arms is the second Amendment RESTRICTING GOOBERMINT.
Anything else is bastardization.
AND THEY have voted themselves extra “Security”.
14 Republican Senators betrayed Americans and the US Constitution by voting for this bill
The NRA is toothless and will remain so until they’ve put Pepe LaPierre in the rear view mirror.
Unfortunately, too many people believe the myth that no one apart the NRA is capable of doing the heavy lifting. The truth is, the principle reason the smaller organizations (SAF, JPFO, GOA, etc) don’t get as much traction is they are under-funded. And the chief reason they are under-funded is because the NRA sucks up the lion’s share of the available capital out of the pro-RKBA ecosphere.
And the chief reason gun owners haven’t monetarily abandoned the NRA en masse (which would make those moneis available to go elsewhere) is that they’re comfortable with their “old NRA” point-of-view. And unless and until the bottom falls out of the donations, the NRA isn’t going to clean house.
To be blunt, those who continue to support the NRA are too dim-witted to realize their contunued support is the single biggest reason the NRA is (and will remain) so financially corrupt.
At this juncture, donating to the NRA in the interest of preserving RKBA/2A is nothing but whistling past the graveyard, and a waste of money that could be better applied elsewhere.
What makes this even worse is that this leaves room for a couple of vulnerable Dems to vote against it and look like something they aren’t.
