Maybe if they put some sharks with lasers to circle the island after the derelicts are dumped there.

So a bunch of bums and parasites are going to be put up on their own paradise island with all then amenities, including a tropical beach. Disgraceful.
Move them to the Aleutian Islands instead.

Why should “homeless” live on a beautiful upscale beach? Screw that. Ship them next to a toxic sewage dump (or New York ghetto, same thing). These bums are almost ALWAYS illegal aliens, drifters, drug addicts, criminals, etc. And they ALWAYS vote democrat! It is the main constituency of the Rat party. They deserve only scorn.

+1. That is the perfect place for dregs. I know, I’ve been there... Wait, I was in th Navy at the time. ☺

There are many golf courses in south Florida which can easily be turned into camp grounds for the homeless.

It would be a riot if the built homeless encampments on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Maybe buy a few of the Gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs, then a few more on the Chilmark-Tisbury town line, on the main road.

Why on the beach near Miami?
A place where an average family who actually work for a living couldn’t afford to live!
A Better place would be off in the Everglades where there are thousands of acres and they won’t be a bother to anyone but themselves.
Or just sbus them off to Washington, DC.

There is a water treatment plant there.
The only thing I think it is really used for are the weekend boat part flotillas. I think there was a bust of a music festival last year because it is mangroves and open space.
That said, if they tore down the treatment plant and opened it up for development it would be PRIME real estate.

Yeah I imagine defecating, urinating and vomiting on the ecosystem might have a negative impact.

Residents are upset over the plan for a variety of reasons
Gosh, who would object to the government’s moving a bunch of homeless people next door to them?

Looks like a rent seeking, lefty-NIMBY nightmare. Maybe more regulations and market moves against building will fix it. ;D

Oh, I know! Legalize more drugs and invest in legalized drug cartels. That’ll fix it the un-American way. ;D

Personally I would like to see All homeless camps within 1000 feet of the personal residence of any elected official or officer of the court to be perfectly LEGAL

We should start a bettering pool as to how long it would take this little project to degenerate into an absolute slum. I'll wager not long.
Then again, it is a riot to see how those 'rich folk' react -- I wonder how many of them voted for the very politicos who made this brilliant decision?
