It would be one thing if she was a low-information Democrat voter, and got fooled by the fake news lies and propaganda - but she was not.

She is a well-informed Republican Congressman with a high level of security clearance - she has absolutely no excuse for choosing the wrong side of history the way she did.

Obviously, the Cheneys are butt-hurt from the ass-kicking Trump gave JEB! in 2016. Trump destroyed the Bush/Cheney legacy - they wanted to be remembered as the avengers and protectors of 9/11. Trump rebranded them as the perpetrators of endless wars that cost American blood and treasure, made them rich, and accomplished exactly nothing good. They will hate him forever.

But even being blinded by hate can’t explain how they could turn on half of America just because we voted for Trump. That kind of pathetic and vindictive behavior in educated adults is mind-boggling.

Let’s hope Cheney’s complete fall from grace serves as a wake-up call for other TDS patients - and sends the message that nursing a hate-driven anti-Trump vendetta will land you in the trash heap of history.

One of the main things she has in common with Hillary - and the most self-destructive - is that she has no self-awareness at all. She is so certain she’s right about everything that she has no idea how badly she presents to others.

Lizzie's daddy was along time Washington politician, which means she grew up in DC and was fully indoctrinated into Deep State politics and thinking.

Good catch. She forgot the RINO pretense of still being loyal to the conservatives who voted for her in the past.

You are spot on. However, they seem to survive because so many around are the same way and buoy their egos. Its not even the Emperor’s New clothes it’s that they see nothing wrong with their behavior.

she was on TV today saying that she hasn’t decided about running for President. For night now, she said, she is focusing on making sure that Donal Trump never gets back in the WH again. Think about that statement. She is supposed to be a member of his party, is supposed to be a bi-partisan and neutral/fair member of/upholder of the law on a committee (J6) to “get to the bottom” of what happened and is trying to represent herself as “Saving Democracy” like Lincoln (maybe the Lincoln Project but not Abraham) but she is saying her goal was and is to keep Trump from getting back into the WH. She totally gave herself away and should now have, not only zero credibility, but NEGATIVE credibility, like the Unabomber or Charles Manson.

She compares herself to Lincoln...while the group she is associated with calls itself the Lincoln Project. Reminds me of the American communists that fought in Spain and called themselves the Lincoln Brigade, though they were not like Lincoln in any way.

She’s not a Senator to start with. Unfortunately, she’s still in Congress for another 4 months or so.

I couldn’t even read the end of this article and “concession speech”. I am so done with Lizzard and her father.

You’re right, and Hunter is even a bigger idiot than Cheney is. We can add the dull-witted Chelsea Clinton to that club, too.

Good post. The Jeb angle is interesting and makes sense in the context of a Bush / Cheney dynasty and family thing.

I often try to find logical rationale but to these people perhaps it's emotional, personal and somewhat like football I suppose. :-)

A major thing I have always thought that moves many of these anti-Trump people is their hatred of Trump's personality. They don't think somewhat who speaks and acts like a President Donald Trump has a right to belong to such a prestigious club. They are very snooty about it.

“A major thing I have always thought that moves many of these anti-Trump people is their hatred of Trump’s personality.”

I really doubt that. If he was a globalist and did not threaten to drain their swamp, they would have had no problem with his personality. Just think of some of the obnoxious buffoons they have offered up.

Now, having said that, I will concede that there is one aspect of Trump’s personality they hate - but it’s not his lack of decorum - it’s his unwillingness to kiss up to fake news talking heads, leftist celebrities, and globalist professors and pundits.

Bush-league Republicans want to be liked by Leftists, and kiss up to prove they are woke. Trump won’t do that so he is an embarrassment.

“I really doubt that. If he was a globalist and did not threaten to drain their swamp, they would have had no problem with his personality.”

Certainly there were some differences on policies. But many of Trump’s policies were not new. They were conservative ideas that had been out there for a long time.

But this did not play out as a rationale debate about policies. I would submit that Trump Derangement Syndrome appears to be emotionally driven.

Thus I think Trump’s personality and style has a lot to do with it. I have seen something similar play out in Corporate politics. Image (real or imagined) is almost everything in that world.

Trump blocked their power, it was never about ideology.
