“Now, Ms. Biden’s father’s Department of Justice, specifically the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, appears to be investigating the situation, claiming the diary was stolen,” O’Keefe said.

This is setting up to be a repeat of what happened to journalist James Sanders and his wife Elizabeth, a TWA flight attendant.
Sanders claims that he received a seat fabric swatch from a former TWA pilot Terrell Stacey, and then had the swatch tested for missile fuel residue. The FBI alleged that Sanders conspired with Stacey to steal the fabric. Sanders said it was legal for him to receive the swatch, as he had nothing to do with how Stacey acquired it.
Sanders eventually gave the swatch to CBS News with his story, and then CBS News turned it over to the FBI, basically turning in Sanders to the feds.
Now the FBI is doing the same thing to James O'Keefe, accusing him of conspiring to steal the diary when they know he did not, and even turned the diary over to authorities when he got it.

What I’ve read is they aren’t exactly what one would call model citizens. PEople do some risky business in life to make a quick buck and they appear to be that type.
I just saw your question this morning, and I see your post below, too, so you know that O’Keefe said that the couple said they found it, and that he believed it was therefore fine for him to buy the diary.

Much of the diary was posted online before the election, by an outfit whose name I can’t remember. It’s out there, including the showering part.
why is any of this a crime ? The two who found it are pleading guilty to what ?
