What we need is more socialist white women in power positions. In fact, make them all teachers, nurses, real estate agents and news anchors too. Sprinkle in a few dimwitted women of color and we got a plan for complete societal collapse!

“Social unrest” being defined as “removal of WEF stooges from power” - which probably seems like the ultimate disaster to collectivists who have been waiting so patiently all these years for a guaranteed income. :)

I wanna see some more smug smirks and sniggers from those German ministers who mocked Trump at the UN. Still sneering, boys? Ready for the angry mobs? Keep laughing.

“I thought all the solar panels and wind turbines were supposed to take care of that.”

Best that junk can do is 6-10% of the power needs.

Actually the Europeans are far more likely to take to the streets than Americans. Look at our response to lockdowns compared to Europe.

***********

I didn’t make any comparisons between the two but your point is well taken.

That said, the sweeping bureaucratic apparatus known as the EU seems to have neutered any desire for Europeans to effectively govern themselves.

The Europeans will accept and bear the burden of the economic hardships to come (demand side controls) rather than demand that the supply side issues be fixed.

Usually it takes an economic collapse. The wallet is more important than warmness.

In case you missed it, populism is taking hold in Europe. Sweden, Italy, France, and even Germany are experiencing the rise of the "far right."

The UK is changing course on energy production with more nuclear, oil, fracking, and coal. The Germans are doing something similar as they are restarting coal plants and delaying closing nuclear plants. The realization that you cannot eliminate fossil fuels without causing economic collapse is dawning on the Europeans who are now experiencing high food and energy costs, which are increasing exponentially. I can envision civil and social unrest coming this winter.

Having lived 13 years in five European countries, I see the Russo-Ukraine war as an inflection point that will alter European politics significantly. The environmentalist movements have been punched in the mouth by reality exposing their failed policies that have left Europe defenseless.

NWO climate fanatical government in Europe, especially Germany is “going for broke” in their quest for complete domination and subjugation.

My SIL who lives in Wiesbaden, Germany told the wife that even apartment dwellers are being assessed for ‘rooftop water runoff’ as a climate cost recovery issue, and being taxed for it on top of all the other taxation they have. SIL had a patch of garden spot she’d been leasing where she grew vegetables and stuff but with the lack of water wasn’t able to grow anything.

Heating? Yeah, they have that. Steam/hot water heating piped communally to all the apartments. Residents pay a fixed ‘assessed amount’ and have no control over how much they get or any price reduction for what little they use. Alternative heat? Electric space heaters if you could even afford it. And no fireplaces to burn anything.

IMO, Germany and Europe are in for some hard times.

The European peasants should hang their ruling class from trees like apples.

A "Bolshevik Revolution" without the Bolsheviks.

So complaining that you can’t afford to heat your home makes you an enemy of the state! Folks, this is beyond scary.

How could it be possible to have a cold winter with the planet on the verge of spontaneous combustion from man made global warming?

"I’ve been saying most of the year: it’s starting to smell an awful lot like 1848 out there. 1848, the Year of Revolutions, when Europe erupted in rebellions across the continent. It’s infectious.... :D

************

Last I checked the UK was no longer in the EU and is therefore not relevant to the issue.

Some signs of populism are appearing but the EU is going after Hungary now. You would think it has better, more constructive things to focus on.

Things may get uncomfortable for Europeans over the winter but I just don’t see it heating up (pun intended) and giving rise to widespread social unrest. I guess we’ll know soon enough.
