I’ve said for a long time that term limits for the permanent bureaucracy are as big an issue as term limits for Congresscritters. A big part of the problem is the preponderance of Ivy Leaguers at the top layers.

The whole Dept of Education needs to be defunded and eliminated.
There is ZERO need for federal oversight of education.
Parents will demand a good quality education for their kids and it’s up to the local school districts to enact that.

I’m alright with a Federal req’t. that children must be educated by the States from grades 1-12. Grade K is just day care (baby sitting).
