Being that accurate weather records only go back to around 1880 or so, it is impossible to say how severe earlier hurricanes were. Before Europeans settled the Western Hemisphere we have absolutely no records whatsoever of how strong or how many hurricanes impacted our part of the world. The Spanish 1619 Treasure Fleet was wiped out by a Hurricane off the eastern Florida coast.
Jo Jo says he spent “the dark days of Trump” listening to Churchill speeches. I think the real problem here is that he needs a news “pardner”. I loved Churchill but when it comes to listening to speeches, I have an attention deficit disorder going on.
“The Great Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 was the most intense Atlantic hurricane to make landfall on record in terms of pressure, and tied with Hurricane Dorian in 2019 for the strongest landfalling Atlantic hurricane by maximum sustained winds, with winds of 185 mph (295 km/h).”

Blame Henry Ford because of the Model T and Model A.
From 3000 BC to 1800 BC, there was a lull in hurricanes.
From 1800 BC until 1000 AD, massive hurricanes hit the future US. Not just the Gulf, which was hit by Cat 5 or greater storms 5 times more often than in recorded history, but New England as well - regular Cat 4 storms hitting Maine!
Starting in 1000 AD, hurricanes fell off, both in frequency and intensity. We are still in the “Few Hurricanes” stage. It is hard to imagine what life would be like along the Guld and East Coast as far north as Maine if we go BACK to the sort of storms that were hitting the coast in the time of Jesus!
Apparently Homer and Caesar and Jesus were BIG polluters! SUVs everywhere....

Florida is a very low state. It’s highest point is 345 feet above sea level, and that’s near the border of Alabama.
He’s not dating her, he’s married to her.
What’s that got to do with it? (/s)
BS….as usual for the RATS…
I understand the Miccosukee and Seminole tribes kept detailed hurricane records, up until the white man arrived.
Brzezinski is an ignoramus of course, but for the record, the IPCC’s AR 5 concludes that there is no evidence of any trend in cyclonic frequency or intensity due to climate change. So even the high priests of global warming are unconcerned about this. It is a pure media driven fictional talking point. Nothing more..
Before this, they were complaining that Climate Change was reducing the number of Hurricanes.
That’s the great thing about Climate Change, you’re never wrong.
That idiot has been waiting all summer to say that.
Greedy, opportunistic slug.
BS.
This one was more intense because the Gulf Water temperature was so warm because there were no other hurricanes preceding it to suck up the heat and stir up the waters and bring cooler water to the surface.
Idiots
Excuse us?
We also have the Galveston 1900 hurricane and this:

Climate change was real B**** back then too?
Hurricanes Are More Intense Due to Human-Caused Climate Change——How do you know that?
I would have been far more sick if I wasn’t vaccinated——How do you know that?

Very similar to the number of jobs “saved” by 0bama.
I don’t think she really believes it, but knows that if you repeat something enough, the sheeple will buy it.
Of course, they weren’t so intense for the past four years….
Did the NOAA director blow this one down to like he blew down Don LemonIdiot? /s
