Precisely. Stevie Wonder could see it was a scam, but she gladly paid the protection money just the same way other corporations paid off the black mob bosses hoping their operation wouldn’t get targeted, burned down, and ransacked. And given that the national and state Democrats actually encouraged the BLM destruction, almost everyone understood what this was all about and cowardly paid up. Tragically, those who could have stood up to this mob chose to cower and pay up.
No, Osborne knew to either pay up or go waaay to the back of the Hollywood line. Sharon Osborne doesn’t get to rewrite her history and suggest she was dupped. She wasn’t. She knew.
She certainly had an interesting history. Her father was Sabbath’s manager, and actually was the one who fired Ozzy from the band, then Sharon started dating Ozzy, and helped launch his solo career.
She knew who was her meal ticket.
Never understood the appeal of Ozzy Osborne.
If you saw the state Ozzy was in then, I would say it was a heckuva risk.
He had good musicians in his band. Randy Rhodes was amazing, as influential as Eddie Van Halen, in my book.
$900,000??? God, think of how many albums Ozzy had to sell for that!
That and being on CBS, kinda like protection money, but I guess it didn't work.
Same here - we got the relentless United Way squeeze every year I worked at a Fortune 100 financial corp. Told the leftist director it was my business to whom I gave my money (or if I gave it at all). Naturally I was on his s**t list till the day I retired.
Fools and money is soon parted...
That was born should have fed the poor.
Fools and their money are soon parted. Good luck in getting your money back Sharon.
Pay the Stupid Tax.
A fool and her money are soon parted...........
900,000!! poor ozzie has to put up with this crazy biotch
Right; she ponied up the “diversity tax” that is required of celebrities if they want to avoid the enemedia’s dustheap.
That’s insane to push employees to kick back a portion of their salaries (to any organization); today they’d be laughed out the door. I worked for a company that wanted 100% participation, but morale was so low they probably never broke 10%.
You’re lucky. I was in H.R. and my boss put me IN CHARGE of United Way one year. I objected. She insisted. About halfway through when she realized there was no actual campaign happening she passed it on to some feel-good sucker whose heart was in it.
United Way. Red Cross. BLM. All equally scammy.
"Not any more', I replied.
Boy, it felt good.
It does feel good! My managers and hr always made it a point to harrass me for months afterwards. I told them every time “show me where the money is going”. They never could.
He is amazing. Can’t understand a word he says but he can sing for 2 straight hours without any problems
Uses different part of brain.
