That my FR friend is gaslighting. Congratualtions.

No, I’m serious.

I read the Barris Twitter, all he said was that Ryan and McCarthy were interested in recruiting DeSantis, simply because he has the best chance to take on Trump. Barris clearly said DeSantis IS NOT ON BOARD with the plan (guess you missed that part), so they were interested in targeting Youngkin as well.

The link to CTH had a video right at the top of Bannon and Boris where Boris said that LEGALLY DeSantis can’t use any of this money for the Governor’s race to run for President, either.

So you and your cohorts pushing this theory that DeSantis is a Paul Ryan puppet and has already been paid off to primary Trump are the ones gaslighting my friend. Clearly, based on your very own sources, you apparently didn’t even read, or worst case tried to purposefully misconstrue to unfairly slander DeSantis.

And he seems to have forgotten Ronald Reagan’s admonition to not speak ill of other Republicans.

Look. I didn’t miss any part but I think you did.
There are many threads on the subject and you have cherrypicked.
I do not need to convince you nor do I want to.
Your superficial analysis is gaslighting because it creates an alternate reality with an agenda.
I used to respect DeSantis. I am still hopeful he will contribute to Florida & to the US. However it is impossible not to look at his recent acceptance of $$$ from the Wall Street/Never Trump/Posers and subsequent actions. It is impossible to look at his endorsement of never trumpers and recent cozying up to Paul Ryan and others of that ilk. Those people are anathema, truly evil and cynical betrayers of the American people.
DeSantis will be judged by the company he keeps and his actions. Right now he is looking increasingly shady. A closer look at the illegal alien drop-offs is disturbing. It is a brilliant idea and an excellent demonstration to the hypocrites who think they are immune. However apparently there were aliens recruited and then abandoned after being promised transport. They were given no explanation or notice. Common decency dictates people not be used so callously for political purposes. Those actions give a foul odor to all Republicans. We see through a glass darkly and do not have all the facts. I keep an open mind but am concerned about the motivations and character on display.

That is such a ridiculous mantra.
Taken to extremes Republicans can lie, cheat, steal, murder, commit treason, and stab others in the back and we would be admonished not to speak ill of them.

What happened to tell the truth & shame the devil?

Maybe these were the tweets you missed. The truth, accept no substitutes

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
If you’re referring to me, I never said they “met” together in a smoke-filled room. But establishment figures to include “Team Ryan” and Kevin McCarthy absolutely are trying to convince Ron DeSantis to run for President and fracture his (Trump’s) base.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
Again, I’m not here to defend Trump. I acknowledge what he is. But I am telling there’s nothing “MAGA” about who and what are behind this DeSantis Push. Unless you seriously think Jeb Bush, Big Sugar, Hedge Funds, Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell are MAGA.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
I’ll tell everyone what it was right now, though it’s not the smartest fight for REPs to have before a midterm.

When Ron DeSantis is chatting with @kevinomccarthy
and Team Paul Ryan behind the back of the man who made him the governor of Florida, it was bound to happen.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit”@Peoples_Pundit
It’s called a shot across the bow and it’s in response to what Trump has been hearing is going on behind his back, which more than a half of dozen donors and scores of sitting congressman have told me is true.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
They’ve targeted Ron DeSantis as the stool they believe is their best chance to foil another Trump Presidency and after enough hammering away at him and blowing up his head, there are indications that it is working. But make no mistake, it is a DC establishment plan and is true.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
I’ve received at least a half dozen calls from GOP donors who have told me the contents of their conversations AND sitting members of Congress have confirmed it.

@GOPLeader Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan have hatched a plan to defeat MAGA in 2024 and Ron DeSantis is the stool.

Rich Baris “The People’s Pundit” @Peoples_Pundit
23h
Sorry if that hurts some of your feelings, but it’s true and those of you most likely to bitch about me saying it don’t know what the Hell you’re talking about.

There is a difference between speaking inconvenient truths and slinging insults. I think that was Reagan’s point, not covering up behavioral deficiencies of primary opponents.

“I can do better, and here’s why” is a good policy.

Again, I didn’t miss anything. Baris (who is very closely aligned with Bannon who is part of Team Trump) clearly admitted “I never said they met together” and that Ryan is “trying to convince DeSantis to run for President.”

That is a far cry from the “Ron DeSantis is a paid off puppet of Paul Ryan” jabber that’s been on here all day as an attempted defense of Trump’s unnecessary insult of DeSantis.

I also think these attacks by Baris on DeSantis over a POTENTIAL alliance with McCarthy simply don’t add up, as there are countless articles news reports on recored about the endless Trump/McCarthy bromance.

If Baris is so worried about McCarthy’s ties to the Deep State, he should obviously be more focused on calling Trump out about HIS incredibly close ties to MCarthy, and Trump’s full endorsement for his re-election, not DeSantis who actually worked against McCarthy in many instances as a leader of the Freedom Caucus.

Your other post now attacking DeSantis for shipping illegals to Martha’s Vineyard is so off base to me it’s laughable. Just like most people laughed at Jared Kushner when he tried to make the same complaint. But, it’s your right to give your opinion, whether most agree with it or not, and I dare say most don’t agree with that one. Thanks.

We can agree to disagree and that looks like the best option. Freegards.

Unfortunately one man’s slinging insults is another man’s telling of inconvenient truths. Therein lies the rub.
