Wouldn’t it be something if when being chastised publicly by the notables in government, he would produce printed copies of communications between his company and that elected representative’s office?

Managers figured it out when their workers just disappeared from the system. That’s my favorite sentence in the whole story. I just keep picturing it and laughing. When a manager came to ask where all his employees went, I would have told him, “They’re outside, waiting for you.”

I have been in many workplaces that had some variation on the Employee Cafeteria. Most of them required greenback Yankee Dollars in exchange for food. Some of them required Pounds Sterling ...
NONE of them were gratis.

In many places, schools are used as polling places.
If you want the schools open on election day, you’ll need to move all polling places to private property.
I’m in favor of that, BTW.
This year, my polling place was moved from the elementary school it had been for decades to a church building.

When I worked for a five-star resort in HI, the ee cafeteria always was open. The food always was free. Besides regular cafeteria food, we “suffered” by having all the leftovers from the different banquets and meals the conventions were having.
To: MayflowerMadam
A 5-star resort is in the business of preparing and serving food ... so that sort of makes sense.

This warms the cockles of my heart. And give me a huge belly laugh.

Same here. The twits had quite the little “club” going, smacking down anyone they didn’t like ... what a power trip for all the young/wokesters exercising that immense power. There are going to be some ‘long’ faces at Thanksgiving tables this year ... assuming they celebrate Thanksgiving. The Tofurkey will be unusually tasteless. I think the ‘contractors’ are mostly foreign - no 60 day notice laws apply to them so bye bye.

It’s a reference to the movie Spaceballs. Elon Musk obviously loved the humour in the movie since on earlier Tesla models he had a ludicrous speed option and recently he added a plaid option. He’s going so fast through Twitter I thought I’d reference the plaid option.

At first look, I thought that your post said ‘….and their warming us.’ Then I considered it some, and either warning or warming was appropriate.
