see #37.
Even if they DO invoke Article 5, nobody is required to go to war. There are all kinds of actions short of that that are legal in the treaty.
We could send air defense to Poland, we could summon the Russian ambassador, we could even do nothing if we “deem” that the proper course.
Read the words of the treaty. It allows us to act, it does not require it. That is to insulate us from some idiot Europeans from having full war decision making power over the west.
Flew in over the Gulf of Tonkin.
Thank you Snowflakes for electing the demented, dim witted, drooling moron Biden for POTUS. Those mean Tweets were so mean. Idiot Snowflakes!
Was one of those killed an Archduke?
I’m gonna bet that not many Freepers voted for Biden..
Over the past weekend I was with some friends and acquaintances watching some college FB. ALL of these men are college educated, some with graduate degrees. ALL of them were itching for a war with Russia. When I asked them to consider the likely outcome (mutually assured destruction), they were all-too-sanguine: “May as well get it over with” was the common attitude.
Clearly drunk missiles.
That’s the attitude I’m seeing also and it bothers me to no end...
Yeah. I guess this will bring up all kinds of questions about the control systems for these missiles...
SKY NEWS: Russian missiles kill two people in NATO member Poland, US intelligence official says
Why you so mad bro?
Since it's a grain silo, I doubt a missile had anything to do with it. It doesn't take much for one of those things to light off. Now, back to your wargasms.
What are their Freeper names?
I call massive BS, no f’ing way.
False flag attempt to incite NATO to join in and the US.
Russian missiles suck. They really do. The are a little better than a dumb bomb dropped from an airplane when they work. They aren’t as good as US guided missiles.
The Iranian drones are decent though (of course they stole the tech from us via Obama).
How would he know? Russian guided missiles aren’t like US missiles and often miss the target. Just look at how poorly they performed during the beginning of the war.
Yes, well, NATO members do get to decide for themselves, but they don’t get to decide for other members.
Supplying the Ukrainian army and providing supply depots in a neutral area are acts of war. This is indisputable.
If and when Russia fights back, no NATO member is required to lift a finger. Poland will be right where they were when they foolishly believed an alliance with England would allow them an uncompromising stance in the conflict over Danzig.
Proud people, good fighters, strategically ridiculous.
“I’m 10 miles from Beale AFB. I’m in the ‘don’t even bother buying iodine’ geographic..”
I am not sure if Russia updated its target list since Mather closed. But.....
You have 30 mins to an hour to make it to the other side of Reno once the fighting starts. The mountains will deflect the blast away from you if you are on the other side of Reno.
Good luck.
This is what we’ve waited for
This is it, boys, this is war
The president is on the line
As ninety-nine red balloons go by
“Supplying the Ukrainian army and providing supply depots in a neutral area are acts of war. This is indisputable.”
You have a very strange definition of “indisputable”, since probably a majority of the world’s population would dispute you on that one.
“If and when Russia fights back, no NATO member is required to lift a finger.”
Sure, except they all would.
