I have plenty of room in my mags, is this unequal application of the law? This law is clearly against the 2nd amendment.

“Note that a standard govt Model 1911 magazine will hold more than ten rounds of .22 LR, topped off with one 45 ACP...” [Scrambler Bob, post 13]

There was an officially deisgnated US Model 1911 Pistol (and a M1911A1).

There was a “Government Model” made by Colt’s (they may be making some still); not quite the same.

Magazines of different calibers will not hold rounds of other calibers interchangeably: you cannot load 22LR into a 45 ACP magazine, nor vice-versa. True of other chamberings for the Government Model (and certain other pistols purchased by the Federal government) also: 38 Super, 9x19mm are two.

Magazines might fit into a Government Model (or M1911) frame (think conversion units) but won’t feed different rounds properly.

WA Supreme Court is 100% corrupted by political forces.

Well, when the SC of WA decides it is all moot because voters clearly made the wrong choice by supporting the initiatives.

We do not live in a direct democracy.

Somethings are outside the legitimate power of referendum.

In WA, the referendum if passed, requires a vote of the people. The Legislature will then act to enshrine it in law, except when it restricts the power of taxation, then the big guns come out. Like the WSSC, who will do as told. They came within one vote on letting the Green River Killer out of prison during Covid, that should tell anyone how smart these mis-educated idiots are.

Sorry, I did it.

Stuffed the 22LR into a 7-round 45ACP magazine, and a 45ACP round last on top to hold them all in!

The total rounds were more than 10.

I never said they fed though any pistol. But that magazine holds more than 10 rounds.

So, depending on the DOJ, or ATF, or whichever prosecutor, I think I could be in trouble.

PS
No argument about the pistol nomenclature. But the magazine I used fits them all.

Then I defer to your personal experience.

How did you keep the little rimfire rounds from flying out of the magazine, before you inserted the 45 ACP round?

My experience indicates that rimfire rounds are fragile, fussy, and unreliable. Bending and squishing them during an evolution such as this is a real possibility.

Let us hope that the prosecutorial organizations don’t get stirred up over such trials.

I used all my thumbs and fingers. Yes, the slippery little critters wanted to squirt out.

None were damaged, but I don’t plan to do this again.

Some DOJ/ATF character might pull such a stunt to claim a standard 1911 mag holds more than 10.

Lawmakers didn’t fill in all the ‘loopholes’. Like ‘rounds intended for use in the specified caliber firearm’ or some such.
