NATO is expansionist? What you meant to say is they allow membership if both the nation and NATO agree to allow them entry. It’s not NATOs fault that Putin’s Russia has no allies in Europe and that nearly the entire former Warsaw Pact has begged for NATO membership.

At 120 miles up, low Earth orbit, the target would have less then 20 seconds to intercept. Escape V is 25,000 mph 120mile/25k mph = 6.something seconds. Now it would take the orbital weapon some time to get into position to fire, but once in position and on target the defenders would have zero chance of an intercept unless they were using speed of light weapons. In a game of speed wins, he who fires first has the odds on his side. A patriot missile is a mac 4 weapon, an ICBM is a mac 20 weapon. Patriots are good for maned aircraft, ICBMs in their terminal phase? Not so much. Which is why the US invested a lot of $$$ in US Naval capability to shoot down Russia (Chinese) missiles in their boost phase. Once they get out of the atmosphere (about 50 miles up) your chances of hitting them is very poor.

He hasn’t “done” anything... His weak military forces have been in chaotic retreat since May.
