Weeelll, let’s see:

for both, sensitive documents were misplaced or improperly handled and stored outside a scif, which it has not been determined Biden has, and Trump did.

(You aren’t allowed to store personal property for any use inside a scif like a car)

I’m not going to say one is wrong and not the other as I don’t have all the information because it is being with held from the public. But both by report misfiled “inadvertently” misplaced sensitive marked documents. That is a blatant lie. If these documents were properly stored and the people involved with procedure were doing their job, this can’t happen other than a breakdown of the system and it would have to be considered a transgression of law. With confidential documents, there is no inadvertent. There is either criminality or a lack of concern for the product placing information like this into the hands of all kinds of hands from pencil sharpeners to terrorists.

Her flaunting of stupidity is high lighted with her coming forward with a generalization that any group, this time republicans, are not smart enough to consider the facts. After all, facts mean nothing...according to her, if they are selected.

As a Platoon Leader, one of my biggest concerns was the CEOI we carried during field exercises. The chain to wear this pack of cigarettes size was flimsy, and unexpected things happen in hen you leave the tac park.

Woe unto the LT that loses that Confidential booklet in the field. It was an immediate career ender.

She’s prolly right, most wont understand that what Biden did as a mere VP with no authority to take or declassify TS material, is much worse than what Trump did.

It will be a cold day in hell when Mika is qualified to lecture to any group of people whose collective IQ is above room temperature. Even then, I’m not sure. Look at it this way, only she is dumb enough to marry that moron Joe.

Same here, had SCIF duty & TS/SCI, but in the defense industry.

If I had been caught with TS SCI stuff in my garage or home office, I would have been charged, imprisoned, fired, and not been able to work in the industry anymore.

In our briefings, we learned that the president has original classification/declassification authority.

So, hidenbiden had no such authority.

President Trump did have the authority to declassify documents, and even then, those items were in a secure location afterwards.

I haven’t been following Trump case but did they ever say what were in the files ?
Regardless the President has the right to declassify whatever he wants , the VP can’t .

- It’s comforting to know that Biden’s garage is actually a SCIF. /sarc
- It’s comforting to know that Biden’s closet is actually a SCIF. /sarc
- It’s comforting to know Hillary’s private server was in a SCIF. /sarc

- It’s not comforting to know that neither Hillary nor Biden were the originating agency and had no authority to downgrade classifications. /not sarc

Let’s see. Full disclosure: I am not thrilled with anyone’s handling of classified.

That said….

Trump: no longer in office.

Biden: was VP when these must’ve disappeared and is currently President.

Maybe they think that is the good thing about Biden. That he “can do what he wants” (sound familiar?) and of course he could have docs in his own hands while in office.

That’s not the way it works. At least not in DOD and DOE world. Maybe it’s different for whatever agency was involved with these 2.

I don’t buy that argument.

In order for something to actually be noted as declassified, there surely has to be SOMEONE ELSE PRESENT to officially RECORD that and set in motion the declass process. You can’t just walk off with class. and then talk to yourself that it is declass. Ridiculous.

If not, I think that’s a serious hole in classification.
