You have walls and windows that can stop rifle and sniper rounds? Wish I did.
OpSec isn’t a liberal thing I guess...
I don’t have to do jack. Especially coming from CNN. Talking about Jesus would be the priority conversation. Not anything the demons in the MSM says I “have” to do.
That wouldn’t be an issue if someone wants to be unarmed-they are weird, but given that this is a rural area, not many people and everyone knows everyone else, crime done by locals is at zero-most is done by meth heads from the city-but eyes are everywhere-and game cameras on every gate and fence-theft isn’t very profitable...
Growing up in the 1960s we had a badass cop in the neighborhood. When we kids were over there the Dad would come home take off his gun and badge and lay them on the kitchen table. He wouldn’t care if there were 10 kids around. He knew all of us were scared to touch it.
I might not have been clear. Meant that saying you are unarmed to someone might get one of their friends/family to come over that is up to no good.
I was gonna say the same thing!
I had s cop neighbor with a young daughter. One day I stuck my head in their door on gun-cleaning day. Every flat surface in the living room had handguns on it. I asked him how it worked when the boy down the street was playing with their daughter. He said the kid wasn’t allowed in the house.
I talk to other parents about guns all the time since we all have tons of them.
I suppose it is possible-but not likely. Still only a fool would be unarmed. Most people also carry bear spray if they go outside past their deck/patio at night-there are predators with 4 legs that can do harm, especially close to the river...
It's probably cool. I doubt very many kids know how to operate a .50 cal.
The correct reply is “I’m sorry you don’t want your daughter visiting my house. She is welcome but it’s my house, my rules, not yours”.
My response would be, “It looks like she is not going to come then.”
A neighbor had 150 sqft of half inch steel plate I bought for $900 last year. Much of it is inside my house.
I said to my children: this is what can happen if you misuse a firearm.
I turned and used my 12 gauge to neatly shoot the top of a fence post off
Damn. Envious. :)
On the contrary: I find that it's a good way to "break the ice" when "bellying up to the bar" with new members down at our local gun club.
Regards,
show and tell is always a fun thing!
I’ll ask them if their child has a habit of putting his grubby paws on other people’s stuff.
