Pelosi looks scared; Pelosi has hand on attacker’s hand which is holding the hammer.
Cops tells attacker to drop the hammer, attacker immediately wrestles it away from Pelosi and attacks Pelosi with the hammer (largely out of site of bodycam). Cops on the attacker in seconds. Damage done.
Frankly, easy to see why cops couldn’t stop it; happened in seconds. Assume there is more tape, but this seems to be the critical part.

Just saw the video. It’s pretty much how the SFPD described things. The two of them were closer to the door than I anticipated.. I thought Paul had walked back further into the house from the descriptions but they were both right there in the alcove. The attack on Paul was brutal and seems to have caught the officers off-guard... they had warned him to put down the hammer just prior to the assault.
I call it staged and fake.

Well the perp definitely was not invited into the house. Looks like a mentally ill homeless guy breaking in for some purpose. The whole male prostitute angle seems to be wild speculation by some and not at all backed up by the video evidence.
