This is really dumb. And I take it personally, as a California whose ancestors fought for the Union. They already paid in time and commitment and risk to life and limb. And they won liberty for those were enslaved. That’s it. To come back later with a request for money from me is a slap in the face to my ancestors. Who ever in history has sent a bill to their liberators?
