Will trump endorse DeSantis? For what?

He already did, for governor

He has already said that he won’t any longer as he has found out some things about him.

Peopke don’t like hearing that so they attack Trump. Oldest story since Sparta.

I know Trump works for this country. I know DeSantis works for Florida and works toward schmoozing Trump voters that’s not enough for me to support him

“ The corollary to “it’s never Trump’s fault”.‘

What are you even talking about

Make no mistake, I want Trump to be the Republican nominee and the next POTUS.

But Ron DeSantis is the real deal. Not perfect, of course (NO ONE is), but I favor him over all Republicans other than Trump. Honestly, I’d like for Trump to establish residency somewhere outside of FL, and have DeSantis be his Veep - because we need a natural leader who is in the Trump mold to follow Trump. That DeSantis is more polished and has a very good record in FL makes him, IMHO, the natural successor to Trump.

I don’t want to see the 2 of them clashing, because it would be counterproductive and the last thing that this country needs for the 2024 election. We **HAVE** to recapture the WH in this next election, or the world as we know it will be over.

I think Trump also had a lot to do with Florida turning red. Florida loves Trump and DeSantis. Covid and the democrats get a lot of credit too. But DeSantis is just not going to get the job done trying to run a presidential campaign for a variety of reasons.

“Sorry but DeSantis is no replacement for Trump.”

No, he’s an improved version.

This is from NYT a few days ago:

‘Ooh, Ron DeSantis is just behind Trump and the voters
Are …“schmooze schmooze schmooze.”

‘ Is Donald J. Trump the clear favorite and front-runner to win the Republican nomination? Or is he badly weakened and even an underdog against Ron DeSantis?

At the onset of the Republican campaign, the polls are exceptionally divided on Mr. Trump’s support among Republican primary voters.

In national surveys since last November’s midterm election, different pollsters have shown him with anywhere between 25 percent and 55 percent of the vote in a multicandidate field.’

They will never let Trump be President again, anyway. We all know that. Unless something very big and unexpected happens, Trump will just be a protest candidate.

I believe that. If Trump does not get the GOP nomination, I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t resurrect The Bull Moose Party. And lose just as badly as Teddy did then.

Seems obvious that the left wants Trump to be the nominee.

Ah, 2015 deja vu comes to mind

“What do you think about Desantis running as vice president to Mr. Trump?”

U.S. Constitution

That is VERY easily solved - Trump simply re-establishes residency in NY, or in NJ (he can use his Bedminster gold course for that, similar to how Bush the Elder used the Houstonian Hotel). There is precedent - Cheney rushed to Wyoming to re-establish his residency in the days leading up to the 2000 Republican Convention. When I heard that some enterprising reporter picked up on a middle-of-the-night charter flight with Cheney on board, I knew that he was going to be the Bush (the Younger) nominee.

Simple problem, easily solved.

I don’t recall (my) Governor DeSantis attacking Trump.

Trump’s attacks are entirely unwarranted. DeSantis isn’t running in 2024, and I wouldn’t want him to. He’d split the vote.

I like Trump. I wish he’d direct his fire toward the swamp.

DeSantis thinks Dominion and the rest of vote fraud systems are a great thing. So no thanks.

No thanks. I like DeSantis as my governor, and Trump as our next president. DeSantis in 2028.

What are your thoughts?

Griffin is 1 of 8 billion people on the planet, a Dem to boot. As such, her opinion is worth 1 8 billionth of a penny.
Why is this Dem’s wishful thoughts of the Republicans biggest threat to the Dems holding power in 2024 not getting to the starting block news?

They will only let in one of their “boys” regardless. Not wasting my vote on that. Trump is the only one, who in theory, has any real chance of making any real difference at all. Any other republican will just play defense and continue America’s descent into moral anarchy and America’s ultimate destruction as a free and just country.

This.

R’s need to unify, and quickly. 2024 cannot be lost or stolen, as it will be the end of this country. Whether it is Biden again, or Newsome, or any other D, the Russians, Chinese, Iranians and Norks are drooling at the prospect of another America Last term for a weak and ineffectual American “leader.” We simply MUST recapture the WH, and the Senate, and get this country moving in the right direction again on a whole host of domestic and foreign/defense policy issues.

What I’m “even talking about” is Trump supporters who are incapable or unwilling to be objective, and posit that he’s always right regardless of what he says or does. I voted for Trump and will again if given the opportunity, but no one is always right.
